What is the price of Collector’s Edition?
The Edgar Allan Poe’s Murders in the Rue Morgue Collector’s Edition is $19.95 and is a product that includes the game but also includes all the extras to help enhance the game experience.

Who gets access to this game and when?
Access to the Collector’s Edition is a Game Club benefit and only available to active Game Club members. The basic version will be available at the normal $6.99 price sometime within 2 to 3 weeks.

Why isn’t there a free trial and why can’t I use multiple Game Club credits for the Collector’s Edition?
Our Game Manager currently does not yet have the logic to differentiate the difference between a Collector’s Edition and a basic game. When we release a new Game Manager it will enable us to have free trial versions of Collector’s Editions. Using Game credits for a collector’s Edition is a complex change to our ecommerce system and we expect to support this in mid-2010.

Spoiler Alert! Collector’s Edition explicit details

Are all games going to have Collector’s Editions?
No. This will only be offered on games that are truly the highest production quality on the market and if the developer is willing to considerable work to add the bonus material and game play. We expect to release 1 or 2 per month, but only if we have the right games to warrant it.

Does the Collector’s Edition count towards promotions like the Monthly Punch Card?
Yes. The Collector’s Edition contains the full Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe’s Murders in the Rue Morgue game and thus is treated just like a regular game purchase for these promotions.

Can I use a 100% off coupon for the Collector’s Edition (such as a replacement coupon from Customer Service)?
100% off coupons can be used to buy the actual game when it is released, but not the Collector’s Edition (A $19.95 special product). No coupons or credits can be used on this product.

Why does your site say All Games are $6.99? Is that false advertising?
All games are $6.99. The Collector’s Edition purchase price is for extra bonus material and early access to the game. The game will be released a few weeks after the Collector’s Edition at the normal $6.99 price. To be very clear, the $6.99 game is not a watered down version, it is the original game. The Collector’s Edition was a significant additional effort to add new additional material. BTW, we also have a Daily Deal for $2.99 and specials that sell games for as low as $.99.

Why doesn't this game have a free demo version?
As of January 5th, we are releasing a new Game Manager and we will have the technical ability to do a demo of the Collector's Editions. Right now our our Game Manager cannot distinguish between a Collector' Edition and a game and thus it does not work to upgrade a Collector's Edition from Game Manager.

I'm going to lock this thread to make sure that the information is easy to find.
