The fuse is in the Toy Store in the children's area. You have to find the 4 red marbles and open the door before you can get into the childern's area. Complete all the tasks in your current area then you can move on to the children's area. Good luck

4 RED MARBLES

Location of the 4 red marbles:
1. In HOG in General Store
2. In Lucky 15 Cash Register
3. In HOG in Beauty Parlor
4. In Rose Sommerset’s coffin. When you get off the elevator look left to see an iron grate. Loosen it with the rust remover and wrench and go into a cavern. Scare away the bats with the trumpet and proceed to the room with Rose's coffin. After you solve the Love Connector puzzle Rose will talk to you then she will leave. Look inside the coffin after she leaves.

How do you solve the cash register puzzle.........and the puzzle with Rose

Rose is at the first stop of the elevator, behind the grate. use the rust remover (found in the bathroom) then the wrench to remove the screen. Rose is in a coffin there. btw there is a puzzle to solve there too, i haven't figured out how to solve yet. so far i've just skipped it.

There are many correct configurations to solve the Lucky 15 puzzle. For example:

6 – 7 – 2
8 – 3 – 4
1 – 5 – 9

2 – 4 – 9
7 – 3 – 5
6 – 8 – 1

6 – 1 – 8
2 – 9 – 4
7 – 5 – 3

But if you put the 5 in the middle the numbers will equal 15 not only up and down but also diagonally.

6 – 7 – 2
1 – 5 – 9
8 – 3 – 4

4 – 9 – 2
3 – 5 – 7
8 – 1 – 6

Any of the above solutions will work.

You don't get the elevator key to go to the bottom floor until near the end of the game. It is in the cottage drafting room in a hidden object game.

You will find a handle to operate the elevator in Rose's bathroom in the Beauty Salon. But you can only go down one level until later in the game.

Can't get back into the general store to find the letter X??
Is there a way to get back into the hidden screen to get the letter X??

Every area is still available throughout the game, as long as you've opened the door to that area. You just have to figure out how to get back. I can't help you with specifics because I don't know where you are right now, but the general store is behind the middle door.

I am at the typewriter and I am missing the letter X
General store has no more sparkles so I can't get to the hidden
objects..

Have you completed the beauty salon and the first level down on the elevator? Once you do, the general store should activate again.

To get sparkles in the general store, you'll have to leave that area, and come back. Have you been to the children's area yet? go there and come back and see what happens

When you go to the children's area, you'll also find the fuse to turn the lights on in the school. you will have to come back to the general store to put the fuse in, the sparkles will be there then.

Okay, I have the fuse box open, the fuse in place in the box....now what? I do not have anything in my inventory to help me. I see the two wires but I still don't know what to do next. Please help.

where do i find the key for the elevator? Is that how I get the doors to stay open?

You won't get the skull key for the elevator until almost the end of the game, after you go through the typewriter door.

I don't know what you mean by having the doors stay open, since the elevator is always ready when you need it.

ok so i am so lame, but i am completely stuck on the sparkly area at the front of the general store! i've gotten a lot done despite this (made it to the cellar, have all but one typewriter key, etc.), but i can't go much further until i find the nut on the one area! does anyone know what the heck i'm talking about?
