I don't know how "dark" it was.... I just couldn't stand looking at that girl any longer.. I played the demo for about 20 minutes and said " thats enough".
It wasn't pleasant to look at for me... thats all. I know some people like this kind of game ...just as they like time management and others that I just hate... like tomorrows game...!! Ugh... !
To each his own... I just want another Mushroom Age game... now thats what I call a good game... Well, worth the money...!
Does anybody know of another game like that coming out soon... besides Return to Ravenhurst...?? The waiting is killing me....

I liked the demo and i know i have purchased many games, and then was disappointed after i got into them. Because they were too hard to finish, too short or what ever. But the facts are that's life, just because you buy something doesn't mean you will always be happy with it, when you get it home and try it. I still purchase games, and i still take my chances. And feel i have very little right to complain or want it removed because of my opinion of it.

Doh! Oh, I see, my bad.
That's alright, Poodlebear. Sometimes when we read something, it doesn't click the first time. That's why, too, we should not be to eager to jump on posters. (NOT talking about you, just in general about how we read things)
I have purchased 11 games and don't want 12! Otherwise I will have to buy more just to get the print & MUG!

No, I'm sorry I don't.
Have you contacted Tech Support, yet?

I've been reading the pros and cons of this game. I chose to not download after the warning because these games are not appropriate for our home. I have a few remarks after reading the other posts.
1) Dark indeed. Definite shift for BFG. Made me aware that even this game site needs parental guidance. After dealing with them for more than two years, I had lifted the "let me see it first" restriction on my 12 y/o for BFG download only. Thankfully, we were able to "rescind" that, lol.
2) Should we keep silent if we don't want it? I don't think so. Looking back, it was posts about this game being on another site that got it to BFG. Obviously BFG pays attention to the people's comments and give them what they want. I'm sure PicMan wants to know our opinions re: games we want. If you owned a clothing store and bought 899 pairs of shoes that no one wanted, wouldn't you wish you'd known if you should have made that purchase? There were costs involved in getting Redrum to this site and all businesses want to know what the return on their investment is going to be or if they should invest in more like it.
3) To stay competitive, they have to try new things. Cell phone games, DS games, retail PC games have all come out of their determination to provide diversity and enhance their market share. While I understand their reasons, I do hope this type of game does not gain a huge share of their market choices. For many many homes this is not appropriate gaming.
4) Opinions are like noses, everyone has one and it usually has a couple of holes in it. As long as we express them with respect to everyone else's, we can keep talking...so the "Big Fish" can keep listening.
5) I appreciated the warning. In response to Ravenhurst was dark and so was Madame Fate, neither of those games were of a graphic nature that required this warning. If they had of been, many of us wouldn't be looking so eagerly toward returning. Is it November 26th yet?

I did download the 1 hr time to play this game and as soon as the time ran out I deleted it from my PC. This is NOT a game I would waste my money on. There are better games to play than this one.

Played the demo, got to the dentist investigation. How many more are there after that? Debating whether to use a credit...
Loved the game! I love those find the square in the picture puzzles that seem to turn a lot of people here off! It isn't all that easy to spot all the items for me, and it is just enough of a challenge. VERY engaging storyline, and I love the soundtrack! One of the best ever!
Not sure how the dude murdering his wife with an axe in Ravenhearst is less gruesome that this one. There are a lot of skeletons, bloody items, etc. in the old house. The last scene in Ravenhearst totally creeped me out! So bring on the next one, LOL!!!
For those who wish for BFG not to have this type of game, let me say this. You can simply not download things you don't like. No one is forcing you to play the game. But, if you had your way, you would force the rest of us to pay more for the game at another site. BFG has, simply, the BEST game club on the net. I respect your right to your opinion, and to prefer G rated games, but a lot of us play a variety and enjoy it. (I absolutely love Fizzwizzle! But I like this game, too.)
I don't even see that this is too much for a lot of kids. Heck, they read Goosebumps and Harry Potter. (Maybe the objectors don't have those books at home either?) You know your kids, and how mature they are. But kids tend to like the bizarre and even grisly, in my experience.
Anyway, any censorship should be done by parents as they see fit. Don't ask BFG to become a game censor. They put a warning on it, that should be as far as their responsibility goes.
