I have posted a series of 13 pictures that show a step by step walkthrough of how to assemble the Totem Poles in the Courtyard scene.
Big Fish does not allow its forum users to post links or website addresses. If I post a website address it will be deleted by a BF moderator. But the photos are on the Photobucket website which is a world wide site that hosts billions of photos.
To find these pictures:
Put the word photobucket in your search engine, I use Google but you can use any search engine. When your search brings up the results just go to the main Photobucket site. On that page there is an Image Search box. Put the two words lizziek photos in that box and search.
It will come back and say “No matches were found to your search request. Are you looking for the Photobucket user lizziek photos? Click here to see this user’s album.” Click on that and you will be on my main page.
Look on the left of the page and you will see the game album names. Click on the album Treasures of Mystery Island. When you get to the pictures you can click on a picture to enlarge it. You can also print the pictures from photobucket.
Good luck and enjoy the game!

Treasures of Mystery Island Totem Poles in the Courtyard written walkthrough. This walkthrough matches the picture walkthrough in my photobucket.
There are three totem poles and I will call them brown, green and gray. I will call the totem sections a base, a middle, arms and a head. Only two heads are in the picture at first. The third head can be put on later when it is assembled in the Jungle by Waterfall scene.
This is only one of many ways to assemble these totem poles. You have to follow the walkthrough moves in order for it to work for this example.
Move the gray head to the wooden stump on the left and move the brown head to the wooden stump on the right.
Move green middle to the top of the gray middle.
Move the gray head to the top of the gray arms.
Move the brown middle to the left wooden stump.
Move the green middle to the top of the green arms.
Move gray head to top of green middle.
Move gray arms to top of gray middle.
Move brown middle to brown base.
Move gray arms to top of brown middle.
Move gray middle to top of gray arms.
Move brown arms to left wooden stump.
Move gray middle to green base.
Move gray arms to top of gray middle.
Move brown arms to top of brown middle.
Move brown head to top of brown arms.
Brown totem pole will now be complete.
Move gray middle to stump and move gray head to stump.
Move green middle to top of gray middle.
Move green arms to top of green middle.
Move green arms to gray base.
Move green middle to top of green arms.
Move gray arms to top of gray middle.
Move green middle to left stump.
Move gray arms to top of green arms.
Move gray middle to top of gray arms.
Move green middle to green base.
Move gray middle to left stump.
Move gray arms to top of green middle.
Move green arms to top of gray arms.
Move gray middle to gray base.
Move green arms to left stump.
Move gray arms to top of gray middle.
Move gray head to top of gray arms.
Gray totem pole will now be complete.
Move green arms to top of green middle.
The green head can be put on later when it is assembled in the Jungle by Waterfall scene.

I'm stuck. For some reason it won't let me put the heads on the stump. Anyone know why?
Never mind. I went to another scene. When I came back it let me move them.

I'm the same way, it won't let me put the pieces on the stump that I want to. And when I clicked on the stump, the middle piece from the middle totem moved there! I have NO idea what's going on, but I'm stuck until this gets resolved since I've done all the other scenes as much as I can. Anyone else having this problem?

Go to another scene and come back. Several other people have said that is how to get past this problem.

is there any way to reset the totem poles the way they were the first time you go into the room? I printed out your step by step instructions but I can't do many of the moves you say to do cuz the middle or arms have been moved and I have to move other pieces first in order to put the pieces together that you suggest?? I tried going out of that room and going back in, but that hasn't worked.??? any suggestions... I'm going to go to your pictures and see if I can do them that way. thank good for you! Lizzie!

There isn't a way to reset the totem poles. But there are many ways to solve the totem poles. The way I listed and made pictures of is only one way. So you may solve it from where you are.
The totem poles are very near the beginning of the game. If all else fails you could start the game over as a last resort.

The Mouse Maze solution is in the same group of pictures that has the Totem Poles.

Thanks Pen, You are so sweet. The Totem Pole pictures are numbered 1 through 13. I can also add the numbers to the front of the title. I will go to photobucket and do that now.
Happy gaming!

I finally was able to figure out the totem scene. Thanks to Lizzie and the photobucket after looking at the first move I was away. I just did not realize that the stumps on the sides of the totem poles could be used, I guess I was not thinking clearly at that time.
