Hi there peewee1pw2,

I definitely understand how spam posts could be frustrating or concerning, so I'd like to take this opportunity to provide some information about this ongoing issue. Spam exists on the forums because our forums are open to all of our users who create a free account on the site. Since our forums do not allow direct links, the posts themselves pose no security threat to our players since they cannot accidentally click on anything that may be harmful. We do strongly encourage our players not to copy-paste any of the URLs from the posts nor to call any of the phone numbers listed.

Our Moderator team works hard each day to locate and remove each of these posts. Due to the limitations of the current forum format, these posts must be located and removed one by one, and the posters manually banned from posting in the future. We do our best to remove these posts as quickly as possible, but, due to the time they are posted, they may be up for several hours before we have a chance to get to them. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we thank our players for their understanding. In case it helps, the following link has more information:

As for flagging them, our players can certainly do that! To the right of each post is a triangular button that will report posts to our system and alert our Moderators that a post may need Moderator attention. Using this button for 1 of the posts a spammer puts up lets us know to check out the user and take appropriate action. As a general rule, it's good to mark the first post that user has made; that will help make sure that everyone wanting to help out is marking the same post instead of a bunch of different ones, which makes our Moderators' job a bit faster.

To keep things in line with our >Forum Rules, I'm going to go ahead and lock this thread. If there are any other questions or concerns about this matter, please direct them to our of our active Moderators via PM. We'll be happy to provide any answers that we can. Thank you, everyone, for your time and understanding!
