Well ....looking at the bright side, the thing I liked the most about this game, is the origami dog that flies in and bounces a ball to spell Domini, The End

Even better, I liked the spam posts this morning, "how to control your husband's mind".....lOOk into my eyes...you're getting sleepy...when I count to three (probably posted by those sneaky little 's )

Only thing new about this game is the name of town"Twola" Same ole same ole! Domini Games just put different people & names! But same kinda problems in a town, people being killed by a free TV, Same kinda feed cat, oil something, unscrew something ect.! But yes I purchased it cause even after 10yrs w/ BF I'm burning through my old games! But FYI to newer players! Try a older game & you'll see how fun & well thought out the older games were! I don't care if graphics are better for newer games, Ill take old graphics over boring games! But I don't think that's it! I think its more about Devs making money & less work!

I'm sure you were just joking about the ads, but did they have to take up so much room?

Nothing to celebrate on St. Pat's Day

I was SO disappointed that ON this holiday there wasn't a better sale so I could purchase the game/games I was waiting to buy.

I even checked my email to see if there wasn't a special sale for game club members.

No such LUCK .

I'm downloading the demo just to see if any improvements were made since I tried the Beta. I liked the TV aspect, but I'm getting a bit tired of villains in hoods with glowing eyes. I thought the artwork wasn't up to the standard set by the other Mystery Tales games, and when I played the beta, a puzzle in the very beginning involving a map, simply did not work at all - which I mentioned in my survey response. But, I like Mystery Tales on the whole, even with the Giant Glasses Gimmick, so will try the demo with hopeful heart.

That map game was the most ridiculous way to get from point A to point B, aka drive around in complete circles in the opposite direction to get to the police station that is a straight shot south!

Doesn't matter. It still wouldn't work. I could not move past point A which is what happened when I did the Beta. I guess it must be me and my computer if no one else has this problem, but I'm not going to buy a game where I have to skip a puzzle at the very beginning.

A BIG HAPPY ST PATRICK'S DAY from BF to all of its members with a sale that benefits non members only. Not very LUCKY for us, is it?

And neither is this game. The story is hilarious, graphics decent. It's nice to be able to see without scenes being so dark that give you eye strain...even in the hos, which were nothing to write home about and inferior. You know all the other boring details of the tasks included in this demo. I don't know if they mean these tasks as a joke or what.

It is convenient to have 2 circles above your inventory to alert you by glowing when you have a collectible or coins to collect. You collect coins to buy things for a college yard, which is attractive, but there are only 11 things you can buy...so then what? The collectibles are, (I think only 12) artifacts that are difficult to find... I couldn't find the one outside the police station and don't know if you can go back and find them or not. You have many many achievements and the usual other extras. Indicates that you can replay 19 hos and 19 puzzles (don't be fooled by that number because there were just about that number of puzzles in the demo).

The biggest turn off for me in this game and why I will not be buying this are all the puzzles. There are so many of them in the demo that I lost count of them, gave up and quit. They outnumber the hos as usual and I don't care if they are easy or hard, it is too many, not enjoyable, and I am not going to spend money or my time being overwhelmed with them more than anything else in a game.

Hello friends! As usual, I review mostly on the game play and leave the story line to others. Is my count off, or is this really #9 in this series? We have excellent graphics, even with the slight blur when going in and out of close ups. Lovely, clear and true colors, not too bright or over done. Very nice voices, but not a lot of character interaction. Our "bad guy" has a very sinister sound, and our characters have emotion in their dialog, very well done. You can click through most dialog if you read faster than they speak and not really miss any clues. Animation is quite realistic in facial and body movements, except the puppy is a bit stiff. Sound FX are very well done and pretty much throughout the entire game. Music isn't bad, but I always turn it down. I much prefer hearing the sfx and voices when we have them. We have glasses that we must use to see past events, in order to learn what is happening and why, as well as collect needed items to progress in the game. There is an odd little whiny sound when there is an area to look at...sort of weird, but not a deal breaker.

HOPs were somewhat different, fun and varied. We had interactive lists, "swatch" match (for lack of a better description) and finding parts. Very nice combination. If you don't care for the HOPs, you can switch to the match 3 game. Puzzles were fun and often challenging, and some were a little different than what we are use to. We can choose between easy and hard. Even on easy, I found a couple quite challenging and thought provoking. We have our perfect map that indicates which area has a collectible that was missed. Areas are well identified and of course we do use it as a jump map. Hint system is very helpful and actually gives you a hint rather than telling you to move on, or nothing more here.

Collectibles are well done and not as easy to find as you may think. Yes, this is where we have a lot of challenge. We have to find 108 coins in order to put our college back together, and it is quite the mess. These aren't hard to find, you just have to remember to look for them. We also have 12 various and creepy artifacts to find. These morph quickly and are easy to miss. We also have demonic pages from a book. These can be a bit small and easy to overlook.

I really like this series and I have them all. The story in this addition is a bit different, but moves a little slowly. Even at that, the story flows quite well and we are constantly on the move, so I didn't really get bored. This game has enough to keep you interested and moving. I think all levels of players will find this entertaining and worth the CE price. Yes, I am adding this to my collection.

As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for it at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Based on the Demo.
This game was phenomenal. The interactive hidden object games were excellent. It was filled with fun, sometimes complicated, and always challenging, mini-games. There were artifacts and coins to find and collect. The tasks were very creative. I give the graphics and music an A+. There was just enough eeriness and spookiness to keep the game interesting for every second of game play. The special glasses for anomalies added to the interesting aspects of the game.
The storyline was of great interest to me. As in every emergency, the police are the first line of defense, and this game was no exception. Even in the face of death and other great danger, the police were tireless in their pursuit of a remedy.
One of the most interesting and fun things in the game so far was a hamster powered battery charger. It was so creative and so much fun.
I highly recommend this to all hidden object lovers.

I have to rate this game NOT boring, and not as silly as a lot of them lately. It has a hint of freshness to it. I can't exactly say why, but perhaps because it moved in logical sequences without being too simple.

I will probably buy the CE when a better sale comes along. I give it a 3 1/2 star rating.

PS: When is Big Fish going to make this a true REVIEW thread? I had to wade through numerous comments and some ongoing conversations before I could actually find a real review! I figured it would be alright to ask this question here because it is related to Reviews and there was so many other posts here that weren't! Just sayin!

The Sat-Nav was obviously programmed by one of the oil companies (although I was impressed by the way it could be set by waving a piece of paper at it - that's an innovation that could be quite useful).

And Devs, please can you ditch the "broken zip" once and for all?

I totally agree. It is very annoying to come to the review forums and expect to read reviews and instead encounter nonsense that has nothing to do with reviews, which is what most of the posts are here. It's a waste of time. How about starting a separate thread? It would be considerate.
