Was so surprised to see a new Fish Tycoon game today, know many have been hoping for another one after 10 yrs. or so. I played the original when it came out, spent many enjoyable hours/days/weeks/months until I finally "won" & went on to find more adventure with other games. But my husband, who would never play a game on the computer or so he said, ended up starting a new game of Fish Tycoon for himself & still occasionally plays the original. He played until recently, just acquiring his "vast fortune", & trying to stay near or at the top of the money leader board. Right away, w/a game coupon, I went for the Buy button, part curious, part hoping it would be as fun as the 1st one. Had a little glitch downloading which was solved by the team at Big Fish, Thank You! Got game, really brought back memories seeing the screen, revamped but still has that retro look a bit. Sound in beginning could be better, expect it will & maybe better instructions though am sure I'll remember gameplay enough to figure it all out. Anyway, kind of made my day this morning to see it again & am looking forward to learning my way around again & enjoying this new installment, should be fun! Thanks Big Fish!!

I was also so happy to see a second version of Fish Tycoon. if you loved the original, you will find this equally, if not better than the original. The music is so tranquil, and the upgrades I can see will keep me busy for weeks! I also love the addition of daily goals! And who can resist waiting to open a treasure chest! I see this game as something us older Tycoon gamers have been waiting and looking forward to, and I am so sure newer players to Fish Tycoon will love this as well. Not knowing what the new fish will look like and searching for the "Magic" fish will keep newbies and oldies alike busy for quite awhile! And I love the fact that we can finally update that Fish Store! It drove me crazy in the first version. Wonderful new game to see on Big Fish.

Hello! I'm also very pleased to see a Fish Tycoon 2.
However I couldn't find a way to have multiple profiles, nor ways to set speed and difficulty. That is a bummer.
I hope they will add a decent menu including those and also the exit button. Escape works, but can't say it's elegant.

I must say I love this game the fish are so pretty and I like the new look but it can be a little slow the pregnant fish seem to take forever to hatch and then they are juveniles for hours if we could have a fast button that would stop my impatience but I love it .......I don't know how long this game was out before it came in my email so I hope there might be a update soon ...ALL I NEED NOW IS PLANT TYCOON VERSION 2 AND I WILL BE IN HEAVEN

Jenny, I agree about a Plant Tycoon 2.

To speed up the hatching and growing, buy the instabirth and instagrow in supplies. My other recommendation is to only breed the magic fish at first, especially the guppy which will earn at least 300 each. Once the money is built up, you can buy the insta supplies and game moves right along.

I have come back to give another review well I must say what a great game to play no hassles if you leave it for hours its still there I have got to the highest level and my fish survive I have all the Magic fish except one( I think its a goldfish) I somehow got a Golden Guppy and I increased the price to $97 and it sold very well I had two of them eventually and just kept breeding them till I had all the environments I now sell the GG for #358 and I have sold thousands I keep two as well as the other Magic fish and when funds are low I just breed heaps I just keep buying eggs and I get a new fish occasionally and cross breed a few to find that elusive fish .... but a helpful tip would be good if anyone has any for me thanks bigfish you have a big fan here

I have the original Fish Tycoon. In my estimation, although I just started yesterday, this version is better. Let's start with the graphics. Last Day of Work, the original producers of Fish Tycoon, teamed up with Goggi Games and this is the result. Please pay attention because this is a game but, it is completely within the context of, this is a virtual aquarium I can keep on showing on my computer when I set about doing other tasks at hand. I love the bigger variety of fish and the fish actually look different buy far more detailed. I also love how the "Fruitfish" from the first version is now called "The Tiger Fish" because it does look like a tiger fish with the signature black stripes on orange. I love that there is a greater variety of fins and that this game is more challengeing. I see, from comments of other players, that his version of the game for PC was just launched in late March, great move! I'm currently saving for more aquariums to breed and hold fish for sale on. I have the snubnosed rainbow fish selling for $30.00 which may not sound like a lot until one mutiplies it. Another thing, since my starting amount was great, I automatically paid for the second level as far as food and environment is concerned. Only my rares are dying but with more tanks, I will soon be able to afford more things, just like if I was actually running my own fish store.
