[Post New]by catains on Jul 15, 10 1:31 AM
I've installed, uninstalled and re-inststalleed Lucky Junction twice, and both times I got the following error:

---------------------------
Application Error
---------------------------
This application requires "Microsoft Windows 98 SE" or later
to execute. Please ensure that the minimum software
and hardware requirements are met, before attempting
to run this application again. The application will
terminate now.
---------------------------
I'm running Windows 7!

Help!!!!

Hey Fishies,

Just popping in to let you know that this particular game is currently not compatible with Windows 7 but Customer Support will be more than happy to help you with a replacement game!

To get in touch with a rep, please click on the green envelope to the right of the screen, and then click "Contact Us" (bottom left) of the next page to reach the online web form. To submit the web form, first click "Check for Answers" to visit the Help pages, and if you still can't find an answer, you will then be able to click the "Submit" button to send your ticket to our reps.

If you're a Big Fish Game Club member, you can connect to Live Chat for real-time support through your "My Game Club" page. Chat hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM PST.

Hope this helps!

i posted to CS again today via the and hope to get a reply on this issue... i just wanted them to know that this is frustrating and the issue still exists - in fact, more people will notice it now than ever if they are trying it out with the sale this weekend... because the same problem exists with sunnyvale - and it's marked for the $4.99 deal... what good is a deal if you can't play the game??

anyway, i have owned both of these for a long time and was upset when they stopped working, but i thought the issue had been brought up - someone will do something about it... still i have the problem and i uninstalled/reinstalled both games TODAY... so... that's where we are, and i will let you know if i get anything back that can help us figure this thing out...

to all those who own this game with me...

the final word from BFG from one CS staff member to me... the news:

I see that you are on a Windows 7 computer. When Windows 7 came out, we did very extensive testing of all our games on that system to make sure that they would work. There did end up being a short list of games that were just not compatible.

personally i would love to see a NEW game in the style of the yard sale games - lots of quirky characters and fun stuff to do! so i'll be keeping my eyes peeled for each new offering that pops up!

Are the developers working on an interface to the application to make it compatible to Windows 7 -- OR -- will the users who purchased the game receive credit or a replacement of their choice? How many more games on Big Fish are not compatible to Windows 7?

It seems odd to me that I can play it on Facebook, but I can't play the game I downloaded, and downloading Windows 8 doesn't help. Been there, done that.

Shoot, I wish I had checked in here before purchasing this one. Are both Yard Sale games affected or is it just this one? I have Sunnyville on Steam and it works perfectly.

Well, I won't pursue a refund or game credit just yet. I have a second computer that has Vista for an OS. I'll try it there first and see if it works.
