Definitely not your usual Mosaic puzzle. I was not expecting this at all. There are puzzles within puzzles. Some you have to unlock. Some use Roman numerals instead of just plain numbers which really makes you stop and think. Kudos to the developers on this one. I was prepared to pass it over because the pictures in the video looked too simple -- you've got to experience it to appreciate it.

I've purchased every game in this series and have enjoyed them... up until about 10 minutes ago.

The writeup for "Calgary, Canada" (it is properly Calgary, Alberta, Canada) is straight out of a stereotyped description written by someone who doesn't know what they're talking about.

The offending passage reads: "Calgary is known as the city of Indians and cowboys. It is there that the spirit of the Wild West is still felt, especially during the annual Cowboy festival."

Wow. I live about 90 minutes north of Calgary, and have visited there often. This description is disgusting.

Calgary is a thoroughly modern city that is considering bidding to host the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, and while the people are proud of their "wild west" heritage, it's more about agriculture, exploration, and appreciating nature's grandeur than "cowboys and Indians". Oil and gas play a huge part in the economy of this region of Canada, along with ranching, farming, and tourism.

The game makes it sound like Bonanza or Gunsmoke among the modern skyscrapers. The truth is that the "annual Cowboy festival" the game refers to is properly known as the Calgary Stampede, which is a world-famous rodeo that takes place every year in July... and features a great deal more than "cowboys and Indians."

The current accepted term for Canada's native population is "Indigenous peoples" or "First Nations." Not many refer to them any longer as "Indians."

Finally, there is one of the images of Calgary that looks to me as though it's depicting the Rocky Mountains right behind the city (granted, I could be misinterpreting a cloud bank that resembles mountains). I sincerely hope I've misinterpreted this, because although Calgary is in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, it isn't actually in the Rockies themselves.

If I had known about this, I'd have thought twice about purchasing this game. I'm very displeased at this slapdash, insulting "information" that isn't even close to being accurate in describing Calgary's modern characteristics.
