Well, I liked the direction of the game, and the fast pace. Collectibles were a little large and obvious. Graphics were great. But the story line is a bit confusing, at least in the demo. Maybe more details will be revealed in the full version. All I know is that my father was a gambler, and somehow the dog that was there when I was born, is still there, and has to be at least 25 years old? I don't know what the tattoos were for. And then having to throw someone who helped me under the bus at the end of the demo. But it is intriguing enough for me to want to get the full version and find out how it develops. I just wish they had provided more of why the player was there, instead of just background from before they were born.

"WOW" isn't very helpful. "WOW" what? Good? Bad? On the fence?

Since the forums are going away its tough leaving a comment! (Maybe BF will change there mind, but I doubt it!) But the games real good in my opinion! Not a lot of chapters but a well made game!

This game for me is a "Wow" in a good way from my point of view. I've been desperate for a decent one to play recently,so much so that I'm playing some very old games that I'd forgotten, & they've reminded me of how Collector's Editions used to be...long, complicated & with plenty of "meat" on their bones i.e. morphs, collectables & engrossing puzzles unlike those that we've been offered recently

I've never been a gambler, but here I am at a Casino ( Azada...now that rings a bell ) & I'm playing, from what I've found out so far, games in order to save me from a fate worse than death. I found them fairly hard but thoroughly enjoyable although I did "die" a couple of times because I lost big time...but the dealer was kind enough to give me another chance

This is a game that can be played at a fairly fast pace if one wishes, but I enjoyed looking at the fine art work ( including the H.O. puzzles, which were interactive ) & searching for the hidden jokers in each scene...not sure what they'll offer in the end though. Oh & there is a little "helper" but he's not intrusive so no dreadful barking throughout!

To each his or her own, but I'm definitely going to purchase this because it's unusual. Jenny

I played the beta twice, which is unusual for me. I cheered today and hit "buy" before I came here. WOW kinda sums it up.

All I can say is: thank goodness, here is a game with COLOURS other than just blue shades. I no longer buy any game that consist only of dark shades, and unfortunately, most HOGS have - for a long time now - taken to offer only dark shades in their games.

I found this game completely different from all the rest - the mini games are not your standard mini games you will find in other games, here you get to play card, dominoes and other type casinos games,

I loved every minute of the game , well that is all I am saying because I do not want to spoil the game

All i can say it s different and was fun to play

I finished the game and the bonus content and I loved it. It has 20 hops in the game. 14 in the main game and 6 in the bonus chapter. The bonus chapter is what happens after the main game. 3 chapters + bonus chapter. 45 page guide.

If you find all 50 Joker's Scepters you unlock a special bonus. It has a good indicator. I checked and was careful and in the end I had 49 out of 50. I went to the collectibles in the bonus content and figured out how to get the 50. I got that special surprise.

The game is supernatural gambling. It has a dad, daughter and a cute Corgi dog named clover. He helps you in places you can't get to and he is good and quite. He is some times in your toolbar inventory and some time off some where's.

If you like the bonus content here's the figures I counted twice. 35 movies, 11 hops, 5 music, 14 mini-games, 4 screensavers, 6 wallpapers, 15 concept art. The achievements were obtainable.

I had to start a new profile after I bought it because if you continue where you left off after the trial the replayable hops won't unlock. So take care.

Oh, forgot to mention. The collectible Joker's Scepters are mostly two in every scene and one per scene in the bonus chapter. The bonus chapter has some hops used twice but I didn't mind. I thought they're good.

Hello friends! As usual, I review mostly on the game play and leave the story line to others who do a much better job than I. We have #3 in this series. Graphics are very well done, very clear and I did not notice any blurring when going in and out of close ups. Colors are very nice and true, even with a bit of blue here and there. Game play was quite good, with no glitches during the demo. Animation is well done, with realistic mouth and eye movement and smooth body movements as well. Voices were well done and were age and character appropriate. We have a lot of character interaction in this addition, which makes a game seem more realistic and not just a walk through. You can click through dialog if you read faster than they speak, without missing a clue or a needed item. We have a poker chip that we use to find hidden symbols. Not one of my favorite type of games, but at least it isn't a lot. Music is not bad at all and moves with whatever is happening at the time. Sound FX are very well done and realistic. I did not notice any quiet or "dead air" during the demo.

HOPs are nothing but interactive lists, at least during the demo. Scenes were fairly clean and clear and items were not difficult to find. I did not see that you could switch to something else if you got bored with the same thing all the time. Puzzles were quite challenging and mostly different than what we are used to having. Didn't really breeze through any of them! Extremely well done. The map shows where a collectible was missed. Hint system is helpful, but did not transport to longer locations during the demo.

For some reason, we just don't get much in the way of good collectibles in this series. We only had joker scepters, which were large enough to see, even though they were almost see-through. There was no real challenge to finding them at all. A bar off to the left tells you how many you need to find in each scene, most of the time, it is two. Would have been nice to see some morphing objects here and there.
We do collect 6 card with various powers that help us throughout the game, e.g., strength.

This series just seems to get better with each addition. It's not a continuation of a previous game, it is an entirely different story...how refreshing. The story was interesting and you were constantly on the move doing something throughout the demo. It flowed very nicely and I was disappointed when it ended. The only thing I did not care for was the scrolling scene, but not every scene does it. I think most levels of players would find this one challenging and interesting. Yes, I will definitely add this one to my collection. When I beta tested this one, I gave it a 4.75...staying with that. Very nice game!

As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews. Play on!

It started out great with excellent graphics along with a mesmerizing atmosphere with interesting things to do, then as soon as the helper dog was introduced, they lost me. What does a dog have to do with this scenario...yeah, I know he was there in the beginning with the baby, but that was enough! What's a dog doing in a casino? And then they have a close up shot of him slobbering with his tongue all over the screen....very appealing. He didn't fit in with this, even if he is cute.

I found this to be disjointed in places, particularly going from the casino scene to an entirely different out of this world atmosphere. Then you find yourself in a forest, all with gambling mini games, that I must confess, I am not into playing cards, dice, or dominoes and had problems with them because I never play those. It is expected of you to know what you are doing even though there were basic instructions. These gambling games didn't fit in with the scene locations. I wanted to go back to a casino setting or something in common with the story and its theme.

I became bored with the gameplay at times....and with the casino chip gadget (yes there is one of those, too). It even glows as well as the certain type cards you get that you will use that are right next to it, by the hint. The SG is a very small icon above the hint, also....too close to it.

In the Extras it indicates you can replay hos and puzzles, but the numbers of them are locked....very nice. It would be if they wouldn't keep that a secret unless we put up the $$ to buy first. It's a gamble as to what you are getting.

The only collectibles are the jester/joker scepters, I think 50 which weren't very exciting...some of them easy to find, others blended in and were difficult. You have a side tab to indicate the scepters in a scene. Their locations are shown in the map. There should have been collectible casino chips to cash in to buy items to decorate your very own casino room that you could replay the puzzles and hos in.

Liked the few hos in this demo and thought they were well done. Love the removing of the colored jewels in the slot machine and would have enjoyed more levels of those.

Will probably get this with a good sale because it is different and unique for the most part, but knowing what the rest of the game is like is a gamble...you win some and you lose some~ You know the story of that one well.

Almost through with the main game and I've enjoyed most of it. Instructions for two of the gambling games were so "basic" as to be next to useless for me and I finally skipped out of frustration. Those two things really put a damper on the whole game, although I know it shouldn't. I want to see what happens, and I'm glad I bought the game, but it isn't one I will ever play again unless there are better instructions in a walkthrough when and if the SE is released.

Most enjoyable! It has been a long time for me to want to review a game either positive or negative. Nice change of pace, colors everywhere, not the same old-same old. A real treat.

One of the most enjoyable games I have played in a long time. Great color scheme with bright colors. Only spoiled buy the ghost like Joker staff collectables. They still use the old hidden object cheat of not having all of the hidden objects needed on the screen at the beginning. The wait time before adding them was relatively short though. I can easily recommend this game. To be honest, I can't tell if the game is short, or if I was having so much fun it just seemed short. The one complaint I had was the game is too linear. You can see objects you know you need (Including collectables) but you cannot access them until you have completed another, usually unrelated, task.
