Library - Door Puzzle

I made it to this door puzzle without any trouble, and got as far as pressing 5 on the keypad after the hand appeared, but I can't get further. I discovered that the turtle, the Mars symbol, the devil's head, the pepper grinder, and the icicle all can be moved around the puzzle, but as soon as I let go they go back where they were originally. I can start the flame, which I thought might melt the icicle, but I can't keep it going. I used up all 5 of my hints at this point, and all the game showed me each time was the hand and the 5 on the key pad.

Please, another hint?? Thanks!

I also made it as far as you did but could not go beyond the hand and the 5 on the key pad. Is there anyone who can take me further?

How do you get the hand? I've got the clocks and the shapes

set the time on big clock using the time on the small clocks press red button and see what happens.

I've done all that but I didn't get any big hand with fingers. Do you need to do it in any special order because I've tried it half a dozen different ways

I finally figured it out... I was on the right track, and just didn't follow through with each clock. When you set the time correctly and press the red button, the hands of the matching clock will start whirling around and a picture will appear in one of the black boxes at the bottom of the screen. Do this for each clock (set the hands on the big clock and press the red button) and you will have 7 pictures in the black boxes at the bottom of the screen, and then you just have to figure out what to drag to match up with each picture. When you drag the right item, the picture will be replaced with a symbol. Look for what the symbols have in common to determine the corresponding number for each symbol.

But how do you open the door? I matched up all the pictures and nothing happened.

If you match up the pictures correctly, the picture and its match will be replaced by a symbol, such as a hand, a trident, a star. Each symbol represents a number. The symbols tell you what sequence of numbers to push on the keypad, then after you have pushed the correct sequence, you will see a "chain reaction" and then you can turn the door handle and enter the room.

That's what I was missing. I knew those symbols stood for something but I couldn't figure out what. Thanks, Peggy

just set the big clock to each of the different times on the smaller clocks, each in turn. Then press the button and pull down the match/opposite to the resulting picture.

ie: set time>press button>drag pic down that is opposite....then repeat with each small clock's time.

BTW...one of them has no opposite on the board....it is its' own hint to a number.

Hey I got it due to all the help here. Count the digits on the doors (5 fingers, 2 cards etc). Good luck!

I was able to get all of the symbols to appear but couldn't find the match for the cresent moon (2nd symbol from the left). I saw the hint above about the 2 cards, but I still don't see where one knows to use the 2 cards.

The crescent moon is matched by the sun design on the face of the middle clock of the three on the far left. All the cards have symbols that equal numbers (hand = 5, triangle = 3, etc. Enter them in order left to right on the keypad.

So I figured out the clocks with out looking here first....I get the hand-5, cards-2, badge-6,clover-3, triangle-3, hand-5, and trident-3...I enter the numbers and get nothing....what am I doing wrong??

i got as far as the cellar that has 7 keys and i dont know what to do with all the keys ,am i suppose to spell a word or what

Basically...when you've clicked on the yellow door in the cellar room, you have 7 circles coresponding with the 7 keys you've just collected. You're right...you will spell a word...but in order to get clues on what word you need to spell (which can be a different word each time you play through the game - there's several different ones you might get)......try dragging the keys to the center fixture, above all the circles. Once you place each key in that spot...it will reveal what letter is associated w/ that shape of key. I think you can figure it out... ...good luck!

ive been playing now about a year. i made it to the library door. i've set the 2 clocks to 9:00 ans hit the red button. put picture of child in box one and i can't get any where ealse. can anyone help me get thru this one? thanks jjchurch
