I have finished first game (alchemy faction)) and am starting the nature faction game. Never did find out what that cone and ellipse puzzle was, but that made no difference. Might find ont in this game. One thing I promised myself - -have plenty of builders of the same gender, especially Masters. Ran into complications in the statue repair, and lot of unexpected babies, as many villagers were adept parents

Hope I haven't posted twice - got tangled with the virus checker and post didn't seem to go through.
I have vowed, when I play VV again, to make sure I have lots of young Master builders by the time the statue has to be repaired. I had to wait while I trained up Masters
On second game now, going the nature way instead of magic way.
Oh bother - -first post went thru' - Sorry!!

You two seem to have a lot of great answers, so maybe you can help me out with my "non" Tribal Chief problem. I have two games going and on one, I have had two chiefs, but now and for the last two weeks can NOT get anyone to "fit" in the cloak. I have tried everyone including kids and elders; even waited until babies grew up and no success. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated.
I wonder if it's a glitch in the game or what, my other game is progressing just fine.

Since last post the village has had 12 more kids and still not one can wear the cloak....getting wicked frustrated with this and simply don't understand what the problem is. ----- H E L P -----
SRRY TO TELL U BUT ITS A REALLY BAD GLITHCH PROBABLY SO U SHOULD RESTART THE GAME ESPECIALLY BECAUSE UR CHIEF I VERY IMPORTANTANT GOOD LUCK

For all those having food issues... in my experience after it rains more mushrooms appear usually at least 2 brown and also 1 red, the red mushrooms offer alot more food value, so if you can try and make it rain with your dancing you have a greater chance of recieving mushrooms, remember you need children to pick them!!

You're kidding, right? I have to get to level 2 of the faction to even make the darn plants show up -- having to S L O W L Y accumulate FIFTY THOUSAND tech points, and THEN have to wait through how many hundred thousand to get to level 3 of alchemy?

Things in this game take toooooo long! They've even increased the infancy time for babies, so that the labor of the mother is lost for ages!

Things in this game just take too long. u right thats insane two things get all ur villagers researching overnight keep making them go and research ull get a bunch of tch points and two hes wrong u wont get hert by usen that plane

Learnt something!! Female villager going up in the lift. Fruit dropped. I got the chief to pick up and sow the seed, which he did. Unfortunately I lifted the female down from the lift. Chief saw her and forgot all about planting the seed. We are waiting for the next rainfall.

The weather dance is done OK, but the Nature way seems to produce more rain anyway.

I read the instructions and it says that honey is their main source of food, what am I doing wrong I can't get anyone to get it, always says they refuse. But they keep noticing there is no food. I would really love to have them harvest some honey. I feel much better when I hear that people have many games going at the same time, I thought I was the only one. I also can't have any babies because it says they are too hungry for that. So how on earth can I collect mushrooms, etc. HELP ME PLEASE !!! God Bless You and thanks in advance for all your help

A villager hurt and weakened in a pot explosion can be restored to nearly full health by the "He feels healthier" potion .... cactus, + lotus + lotus, or it can be cactus + cactus + lotus.

The chief's magic food is a great source early in the game, when food is short. The honey is the next source, but the villagers have to be patiently trained to harvest it. And it someone is preset as a builder, he/she won't be eager to harvest honey.
The big tree to the right will soon drop a seed. If the chief picks that up and sows it, then the next source of food will grow.
I get the builders to the adept stage as soon as possible, so that they can repair ther lift, and then get 2 more seeds to sow.
A nice stage is when Level 2 magic or nature is reached, then the anti shark potion can be made, and the fishing stage is reached, then food won't run short. Every villager will soon learn to fish.

This game does have a "fast" option - I could do with 2 x fast!

Teaching villagers ....
If they are well recharged (they are little rechargable machines after all) they will learn new tasks more easily.
I check the health bar frequently. If it is less than 100%, that villager gets extra eats and drinks.

Ugh. I have solved the puzzles except for the statue, clam and sun dial. I can't get my statue done because I have 1.00.02 version. What do I do? The statue is stucked on the path.

I can get the younger ones to pick up mushrooms and other things laying about. I can get the farmers and some others to pick up wood and dried grass. Dont know how to light fires, find other food, or anything else. I need alot of help here and some ideas what do I do next to take care of them, or get them to care for themselves. This is my second try...I killed them all off the first try out. I am so lost here and if there is somewhere to go to get some insight on how to do this, it would be very helpful.
Thanks for any help you can give.

I'm kinda new at this too, and wondering if you ever got your answers? The kids only pick up mushrooms, etc, they don't work. Need some wood and then some dried grass, then set one of the villagers near the fire pit (after the wood and dried grass are in) and they'll start a fire. Give each one a job and take them to whatever you want them to do. (Building a hut, harvesting honey, researching) Don't build up the population until you get a good food supply going, that's what I've done wrong a few times. This forum is a good place to get ideas. I'm writing down what's listed here and then going back to try again.

The lift requires three Adept Builders and level 2 Restoration.
The Statue requires level 3 Restoration and Leadership, a Chief, a Master Builder to draw the plans on the chalkboard in the Alchemy Lab after the Bath has been completely restored, as many builders as possible and an incredible amount of patience.
The Ash key will become available after 60 continuous Isola hours.
The Hanging Key can be obtained by feeding one of your villagers a potion made with cactus, rose and lotus herbs.
good luck
