I went back and played with the contrast- It does look like a Rx. I don't see the beads either.

Didnt we hear at one time, that we had not seen the last of Ravenhurst?
(I wish I could make out the picture of the 12-game gift)
I was just playing with it and I think we are going back to Ravenhurst. I can make out the stairs and a big house in the back

Yes, that's correct, prpldva.
The letter R... Ravenhurst?
The picture looks like the Home page of the MCF site.

Hey Cesse, chocolate cures all ills. At least in my book, lol.
You fishies have been busy.....off to look at that picture again. I'm sold on Ravenhearst and Madame Fate for sure. Need to decide about the 1st 2 MCF games.....I did like them, they just aren't as good as the 2nd 2.

Now is that painting in the Bettmann Archive?
OMG's. Yes, I believe it is. Let me go online search to confirm that.
Was just going to ask that! Now this could be a clue about the game coming out in time for Thanksgiving OR a clue about how the game is going to be themed OR both?
Just found something that said, "The First Thanksgiving at Plymouth" by Jennie A. Brownscombe is actually in the Pilgrim Hall Museum, so that's a dead end as far as what they have in common, at least that aspect, as the painting is not in the Bettmann Archive.
The Archive, the more I read, is primarily photographic and historical in nature. Brownscombe was known for painting historic scenes. Curioser and curioser...

What I understand is that the Brownscombe painting is on loan to the Pilgrim Museum in Plymouth from the Bettman Archives.
I started replaying Ravenhearst last night and am looking at the game from a different viewpoint... clues to MCF5.

the Bettmann archive is primarily photographs and it does include one of this painting according to the search engine provided by the site.

Do you have to buy your games all at the same time with this promotion or do they just add up what you've bought from the list during the month for the coffee cup, etc? I own a lot of the games on the list but can always find more! Just can't buy 6 in one fell swoop

I have purchased 3 of the games recently as i am a fridge magnet collector. If I were to purchased a total of 6 games or more by the end of October, of which i may be eligible to get the BFG Mug, can i opt not to get the Mug but instead get the fridge magnet?
.
Reddevil -- not according to what I read in the info ... you will automatically be sent the item that corresponds to the total of purchases you made from the Octoberfest offerings. So, if you want the magnet, you must buy at least 3 but not more than 5.

Smallhaven, I'll be calling on you as my "go to" woman for Ravenhearst questions if there are ties to the new game. PS--love the door puzzles in this one!!

I dug out my notes on this game and am replaying it very attentively now. I think before, I just played the game for the HO factor never considering that it may be the lead-in to another MCF.
Love the door puzzles, too! Some of the most challenging puzzles I've done in a game.
