Tips and Tricks for Alice Greenfingers 2

Keep working while at the market – Once you’ve put your crops up for sale on the market, you can continue working while customers browse your wares, you don’t have to stay on the market screen. Simply click the X on the market window or click outside it to continue working while you continue to make money.

Queue up multiple actions
– Alice can follow a line of commands that you give her. As she is working on one task, you can click somewhere else, and then somewhere else after and she’ll complete all the tasks in the order you gave them to her. This is great for harvesting your crops more efficiently.

Auction off unneeded items – Whether it’s a tool, an animal, a shed, or whatever – you can auction it off (except for some crops). Simply click on the auction mode in the bottom right corner of the screen, and get up to three bids on the object you want to sell. This is a great way to get some extra cash off of items you don’t need anymore.

These are just a few hints to help you out. If you have any other suggestions, post them below!

The prices on honey, eggs, milk and things like that change...if a price isn't very good one day it could be better the next.

One strategy that works for me is to not go through each day as quickly as possible. Think ahead.
While the crops were my main source of income, I laid them out in a 5x5 grid for each type, with a single row in between each grid and a single patch of grass in the center square to put a sprinkler in that waters the whole 5x5 grid. This keeps me from having to run for the water bucket and well, and allows me to have an even set of 6 boxes of 4 plants per grid, or 1 box each of 6 plants, or however you choose to do it.. (as a quilter, I changed my layout to more of a quilt block look).
The grid looks a bit like this.. (with the X as the sprinkler)

G R A S S G R A S S
G|_|_|_|_|_|G|_|_|_|_|_|G
R|_|_|_|_|_|R|_|_|_|_|_|R
A|_|_|X|_|_|A|_|_|X|_|_|A
S|_|_|_|_|_|S|_|_|_|_|_|S
S|_|_|_|_|_|S|_|_|_|_|_|S
G R A S S G R A S S

Then I bought about 8 or 10 'cases' of 10 boxes and set them out of the way. When the plants grow, I go harvest as many as possible, but just sit them around on the grass as close together as I can and keep harvesting until there's no more room to put them.
After I've done this, If my goal for the day is, for example, 20 boxes of roses, I'll have her start moving everything else to the shed as quickly as possible, by clicking way ahead of her speed, which allows me to move them from the shed to the market while she's still putting them in the shed. I sell as many as I can of all but the roses and buy whatever animals or other things I need. Then before I actually sell the roses, I'll go and fill the yard with boxes for the next day.
I'm just now on day 31 and have enough cattle, sheep, goats, chickens and bees to pay for the day's goal without having to really harvest much at all. I do watch prices and will not sell any milk, eggs, etc for less than $1.
Money is not an issue using this strategy, so it's never a good idea to choose the money as an upgrade. I also have not yet bought any decorations. They take up space that I don't have to spare. And actually, at this point I've only widened the property to the 3rd upgrade square each way. It's a little cramped right now, but my market space and seeds, animals, etc. are more important. Those are the upgrades I choose, along with the occasional price change.
Another tip is to buy a second shed when you can and put it somewhere away from the first one. The less distance she has to walk to take boxes to the shed, the less time it takes to get it done.

KittyJo, WOAH. thats very helpful, all those tips you put out there. I see, because I use those same techniques when playing AG2 because it takes forever to accomplish anything if you dont arrange your crops that way. I love this game!

But really whats the point, and when does it end? I dont want to play this game forever and never really beat the game or accomplish anything other than making ALOT of money. Which I did, and why is it that we have to work for this old guy, and we dont use the money for ourselves. It was that way in Alice Greenfingers 1 it was much more simple.
