I just played the trial game and liked it a lot. Has a story you can click hrough if you don't want to read the whole thing. HO game with tools you use on objects, I will buy this one. I like it a lot better than the new Nancy Drew game

Before I started playing this game I opened the game dialog in Notepad to see how many levels it had. It looks like there are 12 locations, 40 scenarios, and 4 tasks in each scenario, so that makes 160 task/puzzle screens. In the one hour demo I was able to complete 21 of the task/puzzle screens. I was up to where Angela finds John in the storage room and they find all the keys. So it should take me about 7 to 8 hours to complete the game.

The tasks I ran across in the demo were:
Finding pieces of hidden objects and using the completed objects to take some action.
Placing objects back where they belong.
Finding objects by looking at their silhouette.
Finding the differences.
Finding 10 of the same type of object, such as 10 keys.
Eliminating obstacles in a location.
Solving various puzzles.

There is also another thread called Detective stories with some more comments. I really liked the hours trial but I did skip a lot of the dialogue

I purchased this game this morning. I like the pirateville and mysteryville series and this is vey similar. It has 160 levels...thats worth the 7 bucks to me. I know our expectations have been raised with all the great new twist to the HO games but this is a great game to just relax and chill with. I give it low 8 on a 10 scale. I also skip the dialog as I do on all games unless I have to include it to solve the puzzles. Happy gaming!

G'day

Has any one gotten the mini game where you have a scale and have to balance it to go on? I cannot get the last puzzle. I am ready to erase this game and forget it.

Scale is easy.
Just start by putting the largest items on first, and working your way down to the smallest.
Balance one of each on each side fo the scale, leaving the odd ones out until you have balanced with an equal number of pieces on each side.
THEN, put he heaviest odd piece (statue) on one side, and the next heaviest odd piece on the other, and so forth, Adjust at the end by moving the little pearls to balance.

there is a website called Gamezebo that has all the answers and tips and tricks if you get stuck. Someone in the Forum told me about it. It does not have all the games but has quite a few I can use, if I get stuck. Example Return to Raven hearst I would never get through without the tips and tricks. Just some info if anyone wants to check it out.
