Or more simply....I had to buy a new tablet (android) after accidentally breaking the screen on my old one after several adult beverages. Because I was registered on Facebook, the game reloaded with all my up to date data with no problem.

Definitely the easiest approach. I thought I remembered seeing that Jules was not on Facebook, but it could have been a senior moment on my part.

What does everyone else do while they are waiting for Santa Fe or Abu Dhabi (whichever it may turn out to be!) I have been wandering around finishing off intern levels I didn’t do in the easier cities - sometimes it seems like there was a darn good reason I didn’t do them on rather difficult side paths!

I had already done all the interns. I'm working on the ten item quests. Got all but the construction workers for Bangkok today - man what a LOT of resources! Three of them were worth 3 million resources each!

Oh and I did the daily challenge. Normally I would have given up after losing too many lives, but today I tried again because it wasn't any harder than Bangkok.

lawaters, I am on facebook, but I just don't use it much, not a great fan of it, but its useful sometimes, and because I am on it, I can, when the scratch ticket works, send my friend who also plays, her prize, but its rare it will work due to the current wifi issue. One day that might get sorted.

And trav3lbird, whilst waiting for the next city to become available, I just mosey around in various cites, completing levels not done before, accumulating more coins, finishing off all interns in a city, then do the next city for interns and I do the daily events and gold fevers whenever they work out ok. If not, I don't bother and keep doing the other things. But I do find that I don't play as much when its between cities, but that depends what else I am doing too.

I have not once noticed Abu Dhabi written anywhere on my game, it only comes up as Santa Fe coming soon. So not sure what thats about. Quite likely though, that will be the one after Santa Fe. Waiting on another Australian city coming up though, its about time the game visited here again, and it better be Melbourne when it does.

Jules, Abu Dhabi comes up if you tap on any of your ships, tells you to send your ship once AbuDhabi is open so it doesn’t really make sense unless one of them is an event city, but you can’t ship to them unless the rules are changing! Yes, I’ve been doing the daily deal etc., today was 5 letters in Amsterdam so I got $180 and 2 shovels and used no lives or boosts or a change so I’m now doing the architect levels there.

I see Everest challenge is back again. I have gone to Level 4 and will hold off doing 5 until I have a couple of hours to spare. A couple of the levels were not easy at all- 1 and 4 so watch out!

Trav3lbird, no, it doesn't have Abu Dhabi at all on mine, just double checked a few ports, only has the option to send to either Vladivostok or Lima, of which I have completed both, just not built the final monuments as keeping them open to ship more resources to. And also keeping them open as no reason to shut them off, and in case I play for a while and use up all lives and want to keep playing, that way, when ready, I can build one of the monuments to restock the lives instantly. Then, second one when that happens again. Almost finished filling them both with resources, I send a few million of each colour to any latest city, it saves me building a resource mart for a very VERY long time. And its not like I have any reason to shut them off, I have nowhere else to move onto right now, but as soon as Santa Fe opens, I will have to build those last monuments in order to open it anyway. Maybe over the coming weekend while away, I might need those lives, depends how long I lie in bed playing GD and whether I lose them all or have a good run. Sometimes, I can make the 5 lives last for hours of play time.

As I posted this, I noticed your post about Everest, I will download that before I leave for the weekend and will have that to look forward to as well. GOODY GOODY GUMDROPS!

Jules: I think the Abu Dhabi only shows if you have finished Vladivostok by building all the monuments and leave the city. Then, when you can't ship anymore to Vladivostok you get that message.

that sounds logical Snowman, am not overly worried about it though. Logging off now, getting some much needed sleep. Good night all.

I have come to the conclusion that whoever is in charge of setting the daily events at GD has a very warped sense of humor! My daily event today is beautiful downtown Barcelona, which just happens to be where I'm still fighting my way through the final 10 block, and lo and behold the fifth letter is none other than 116!! I am not amused GD.

Daily deal for me is 5 master levels in dreaded New Orleans so I am not going to waste the 300 coins I just won for the first time on my scratch ticket by venturing back to NO! Yes, snowman and jules, to get the Abu Dhabi notice you have to have built those final monuments. I still wonder why there is no other notice about it? Big secret??

Thanks, grampa, I am still here but just haven't been on the boards much. In Mexico City at the moment. The stretch of cities starting with Berlin has drug me down a bit. Like several others, I visited Amsterdam with vouchers and that helped. So did Vladivostok. It has been better after Seoul but not as nice as earlier cities, Amsterdam, and Vladivostok. When NOLA, Shanghai, LA or Seoul come up on the daily event, they remind me how impossible these were. I may actually finish Barcelona 100% - only need 10 more architect to finish that level.

Hey there bowiecowgirl, do you mind if I make an observation? With a handle like yours I would imagine you're possibly from Texas?

Texas, yes. Born in Bowie, in Houston all my adult life. You?

Back from the weekend away now, once I got home and had internet again, I turned on the ipad and game, and it did in fact connect to wifi for once without dropping out first a heap of times, but just to report on the scratch ticket issue, yes, I had lost out on being up to about day 8 or whatever it was before I left, and now, back to day one of it. So I will never, or almost never, have the chance to get it to 30 consecutive days to get the 'big prize' whatever it might be. Any of you who get to that 30 days, will you please report what happens and what you get for it etc, am really interested to know. So this just confirms, we HAVE to be online every 24 hours to get the daily ticket, miss a day and you start all over again. NOT FAIR.

And GamingGrampa, were you by chance either a truck driver or CB or amateur radio enthusiast? Just curious.

Hi Jules
I understand now why, a few days ago, I went back to the chest #1 on my IPad ...
I didn't know this rule

Appreciate all your help and great tips. Thanks

It took me at least half a dozen lives today, but I got master on Shanghai 21. The time that worked I managed to make four lightnings (one at a time, not saving them up), and swapped two of them with combos of some kind. Look for a first move that is five in a row, and after that it is largely luck and being able to spot the lightning moves, plus balancing the need to clear all four color blockers and get enough bricks.

So just keep trying and eventually you will get it.

Missing snowflake -- pretty please my post on the main page. (Forgot where I was--senior moment.)

JULES - thanx for your response on the main page. Unfortunately, the "snowflake" wasn't a boost; it remained on the right side of the game board until all the iced bombs existed, then it disappeared--might say it was more of a status symbol. CS is glad to help BUT wants to know in which levels it occurred. HA! As if my senior grey matter had any idea.

Hey guys, in case you may or may not have noticed, all the city help threads are back up and unlocked, I sent the mods a PM the other day about a player in Monaco, some of our active threads got pushed to pages 3&4.
