Yep, Between Leeds and Wakefield on the York side. York is lovely but we don't get there very often because parking is a pain and the Park and Ride system is too tricky with a pushchair!

I will just ask this; have you watched the video? There's your answer. NEAR Blackpool.
Yes, the Yorkshire thing confuses me, too. Unless the Archeologist is from Yorkshire.

Thanks Picman! Will have to wait until lunch time to see them, though. I have my screen minimized during work.

Here's a list of the book titles I was able to read, if anyone thinks they might mean something. In general, I think most of them are real books, but there are a few parodies and fictional ones too. There are also a few of them without any titles and I notice a book is missing from the lower shelf.
Perhaps it's not much of a riddle and we simply need to arrange them alphabetically. Perhaps not

So, top shelf:

- Living With Books - Alan Powers
- More Essays On Books - Arthur Clutton-Brock
- Colonel Thorndyke's Secret - George Alfred Henty
- The End of It
- Classic Limericks and Verse, v. 1 and 2
- Celtic History Of Medieval Britain
- Primer Of Figure Skating - Higgins
- They Call Me Scrud - Conrad Scrudstein, Vic Dobbler
- something about Typography

Lower shelf:

- Alice's Adventures In Wonderland - Lewis Carrol
- Criminal Law
- Encyclopaedia of...
- Ancient Medicine - Cowler (?)
- Folklore Fact & Fiction
- A Trip To The Dentist - Yin Pain
- Paradise Creek - Leo Walmsley
- Battle Axes
- Angler's Moon - Leo Walmsley
- So Many Loves - Leo Walmsley
- Phantom Lobster - Leo Walmsley
- Paradise Creek (?!) - Leo Walmsley
- Toro Of The Little People - Leo Walmsley

i watched the video of the game on the official MCF website. it seems goog. not like just a game. i think it's going to be fun playing it.

looks like some students go to camping and finds our hotel and some mysterious things happen to them. and our mission is to unravel it.

oh i think it's fun. it's like writing your own script or book i liked it. an original idea i think. it is like Return to ravenhearst. it's different as it was. not like the usual hidden object games.

and i think it is gonna be on the top of the most downloaded games list for several weeks (months ) just like Return to Ravenhearst.

i'm really excited about the game and don't know what to say. looking forward to it.

A friend is beta testing it. I wrote and asked her not to tell me anything and asked what she thought as I dreamed last night that she found it boring (do we think I'm a tad jealous here ). Here is her reply:

"Okay, I won't tell you a thing. :-) Yes, it's lots of fun!! Not boring at
all. I'm looking forward to it's premiere and also a Walkthrough. I don't
know about you, but I'm gonna need it."

I'm really looking forward to the special collector's edition though I think it might cost a little more than the normal $6.99.

Purplerabbit: I agree with you, I would pay more for a special edition of MCF. I would like to be able to buy it like yesterday!!

What do you all think of the new screen shots posted on Facebook. It definitely tells us that this is NOT a sequel to RTR.

The screen shots are just awesome....I think this is going to be a very good game.
I can't wait to play it.

I would still like a sequel though, I want to know where Victor went and explore who his mother was, and Charles past. They could do a sequel to cover both Ravenhearst and RTR in one game (hint hint pricman .

Hmm, some interesting insights in the new screen shots. It seems we are not sent on a mission, but get caught in a storm that brings us to Dire Grove!
I think a return to the Ravenhearst Saga is hinted at in a sly way, still thinking something will happen at the end that will show us how to find Victor.
One of students may still be alive, but possesed, on page 17.
I like that the opening shows the screen shot that was used when Dire Grove first came up.

Ravenhearst Manor goes up in flames and there's a freak blizzard? There's gotta be some connection.... most likely at the end. Like someone else said, maybe a hint as to where Victor is.

I have played it 3 times!!

The first time through it took me over 2 hours - I got stuck on a puzzle and wasn't going to skip anything or use a hint which i didn't. It was nice because it wasn't a timed beta but it let you go to a certain point in the game no matter how long it took.

It will be worth the wait!

And I am not going to give anything away!

A little over 2 hours!!! Is this going to be a short game?? Not liking that.

My understanding of the beta testers is that they received part of the game to test/play and they can play it over and over. They did not receive the whole game to test. From what Picman has posted it sounds like a very long game.

Edited to add: I too would pay more for the collectors edition.

I desperately tried to zoom in on the smaller screen shot, Diary page 11, but no luck. I'm just not that tech-savvy. The only thing I could make out was a note about getting numbers to open a suitcase. I'm hoping some of you techie fishies can find more than I did It must have some good info b/c picman made a comment "maddeningly small photo, isn't it?"

I can't stand the suspense any longer!!

Thank you so much for explaining that to me. I would pay more too.
