Paint Brush

How do you give the guy in the elevator the paint brush ? I tried clicking on different parts of his body but no luck. Help!

I also cannot get the man to take the paintbrush, also my medallion was not put back into my inventory.... can't continue!

You need to load the paintbrush with fresh paint from the bottles of paint in the stamp room.
