Unbelievable glitch

I was at the treasure set or whatever it is called. It started with find the differences in the waterfall scene and ended when she blasted the cannonball and caused the exit to be opened. I did everything, but at the very end, where the cannon and cannon ball are needed, I blasted open the door just as the time expired. The game asked if I wanted to repeat that puzzle. For the first time in the game, I clicked "no" because I had really completed it to my thinking. All of a sudden, I am back at the very beginning of this section (which was not one of my favorites) with the waterfall and find the differences. I am so angry, I think I could turn the waterfall to steam! This is incredible! Anyone else ever have this problem?
