Ok, I'll bite - what does ADR stand for? I have no idea. Welcome to the pond cathy7 if you haven't been welcomed before.
Tell me, tell me, tell me, I have a large bump of curiosity when it come to acronyms.

I like this one too, but my favorite is when fish add PIMP to the end,
ROTFLMFOPIMP
It took me ages to figure that out, LOL.
I didn't add that because it had been explained earlier. But you're correct, I usually write it that way.
When I figured out what it meant, I almost did!!

Mews,
Yes, indeed, it means address, too. Where abouts in the UK are you from, if I may ask???? When I was very young, many moons ago, I lived in England and loved it. We won't mention how many decades ago it was, but hubby says I'm an Anglofile, so I know it had a big impact.
I must say, I haven't quite figured out when to use Ain't Doin' Right.... LOL

Hi Fair
I'm in Manchester and no it isn't always raining!!!
Where did you live? (Hope it's somewhere I've heard of, no good at geography lol.) and where are you now?

Thanks, Suz. That makes a lot of sense. I wonder if I can try that on my medical doctor the next time I go???? LOL
Mews, my family lived in Old and the New Hunstanton, back in the mid-late 50's. My dad is now retired from the Air Force. He was stationed at Skulthorpe RAF base (sorry about spelling).
I now live in Michigan, but the Fair Haven reference is actually to an itty-bitty town in upstate New York near Oswego.
