The “mountain of rewards” that are yours for completion of Everest are

Wait for it....
3 shovels and 100 coins for me!
Plus two hours of infinite lives, which I do appreciate...

Wow....not

Thanks, guys! I, too, gave up on prior challenges, but found this one much easier, and finished in no time. Who’d a thought?

The Everest challenge for me is always worth doing, have never had too much trouble getting through it, I complete level 4 and leave 5 until I have a few hours to spare so I can take best advantage of my 2 free hours, and even though the 'rewards' from completing Everest on its own are not huge, those 2 hours are invaluable, particularly for players who are struggling to do really hard levels that use up their lives quickly. So take advantage of it, use those 2 hours wisely. TIP: work out prior to completing level 5, what other cities/levels you need to work on, timed ones are good, as you can just do them over and over and hopefully, get through them. The coins you can potentially earn in those 2 hours can be a few thousand if you work it right and wisely. So go for it EVERY time the challenge is on again. I have never missed it, even though there have been a few times lately I left it to the last half hour to complete it and just not had a lot of time to devote to it, but its still fun anyway.

And just a note to lordkalvan about length of time to download the cities after the latest update. this time, I timed them, did one at a time, average time per city was 1.45 minutes, the longest was Amman which took 2.52 minutes and the shortest was Bangkok at 1.15 minutes. I do note that this time, not every single city needed an update, which is interesting and if I had had to do all of them, this would have taken a couple of hours overall approx. Out of the 58 cities up to and including Santa Fe, only 26 needed to be re downloaded, I haven't opened Abu Dhabi as yet, but its ready to do when I close off Santa Fe. Just in the process of using up lives to gain a few extra levels at master and when I run out of lives, I will build the last monument which is ready to do and then open up Abu Dhabi which will replenish all my lives for now. When I run out again, I will complete level 5 of Everest and go for another 2 hours. As long as I am still awake!

Used the 2 hours infinite lives in New Orleans, was able to move from level 37 to 57, including sidepaths but only doing intern levels, I am ignoring the 10 item quests. Only half way, but at least was able to make a big jump forward....
By the way, I understand that for people at the end of the content those new treasure chests are useless, but for me, being at the beginning of the valley of death, they are very helpfull!

Hi Loonz, been a while! I have a quick comparison between the new and old treasure chests, keeping in mind that I'm only using the freebie ones! Old chests = 1,500 resources maybe 3 times a day if you were lucky or an occasional boost ( I miss the combo and shovels) so 4,500 resources a day. New chests = 10,000 pinks, 12,500 hats or 15,000 bricks, on day 30 it's 3 lightning bolts, so for those of us that haven't made it past Amsterdam, those resources come in mighty handy! I'm trudging through Shanghai and last I heard our little friend glitter passed me by and is heading into LA!

Hi everyone! I just posted a thread about an oddity with Resource Mart animation "pausing" when it's out of view and not adding the resources to your total.

Both my devices are iOS, playing two different games of GD. The oddity shows up on both.

I listed the steps to check for this quirk in the thread. If anyone is interested and has a chance to check, I'm curious if you see the same behavior.

I saw your post! Thank you for checking that. I didn't notice it right away and have no idea when this started to happen. I'd guess it's at least for the last month, maybe more.

I just posted in that thread too on that issue. there is definitely a problem with the marts/tabs/emptying etc. Might help if everyone who is having issues with the problem that lawaters has reported, and the one I did a while ago about the tabs, report these to the techies or customer support so they get the picture that there really is a problem and they can work to fix it up, as its REALLY annoying.

I was shocked to see Cairo for 4 days as this is the very first time I have seen a city offered for a limited time on a PC platform and I have been playing since March 2017. Might check it out later today. No time right now. Maybe PC players will be offered event cities soon too. We can only hope.

Does anyone know why Vladivostok has a shield/icon instead of a regular circle like every other city on the GD map? I thought maybe it was only like that prior to completing it, but notice its still showing with the shield/icon but no other city, including the ones after it have changed from the green circle format, red prior to being opened. Any clues?

Jules, I think it has to do with the original developers being from Vladivostok so they are entitled to little bit of recognition - also the faces for the missions and HH are “real” people -or at least I think so

I remember someone mentioning that when it was opened, that makes sense and I too thought they looked like real people. Just interesting that its got the shield instead of the dot.

It was going to be a world record for how far a senior lady could throw an iPad! If the powers that be don’t stop putting fatuous remarks “world famous” across a difficult timed level so I keep losing valuable time waiting for it to b.....* off!! I know we have brought this up many times but they never take notice so I am just letting off a head of steam

Invisible buttons

I discovered a weird thing last night. I had got to level 100 in Abu Dhabi and didn't have enough resources to build the monument. Then I accidently clicked where the button for level 101 would be situated and up popped level 101 to play! I could carry on to level 120 without building monuments. Try it. It worked also for my daughter in Hawaii. No real benefit as the monuments probably have to be build sometime.

Finally got out of Seoul and now grinding through Havana. Took your advice and took a weekend break to Lisbon. Just as I was girding my loins to return to Havana, up popped Cairo! Loving it!

Hi lizziebgood, I was curious about your comment so
I tried it in Cairo, touched the spot where level 11 would be and lo and behold I was on level 11, continued doing it all the way to level 20 without building the first monument!
Interesting idea!

Weird, it worked in Abu Dhabi for level 61 too. I wonder how long that has been possible. Since it doesn't show I never tried tapping the empty areas.
