Bonus chapter

Does anyone know if the game just "transitions" into the bonus game play or if there is a definite end of game/beginning of bonus? I do not recall being "told" I'd finished the game and could play the bonus.

Yes, the game does end and you go back to the main screen, where you click on "Extras" and go to a screen where you can choose to play the bonus game.
