Cake mania 3 upgrade

I am trying to purchase the bonus levels and it refuses to let me purchase because my version is 1.001a and upgrading requires version [b] 1.002.

Can anyone help ???????????????????

I am having the same problem. I am currently waiting to get a response from BFG. I have a feeling that the only way we are going to be able to purchase additional Bonus levels is to repurchase the game through Playfirst/Sandlot. The the same thing happened with Diner Dash Gourmet Edition. The bonus' are only available if you purchased the game through Playfirst. I think they are just trying to get back at BFG because they have such a great subscription plan. The Playfirst subscription require you to deposit money into a playfirst account (play coins) and then when you are ready to purchase a game you use the play coin. Basically its a prepaid plan. And newer and popular games like Diner Dash and Cake Mania are rarely on special. So you end up paying full price for the games. They use the bonus levels to tease you, hoping that you would purchase the game from them for full price.

I will let you know if I find out anything else.

Yes, please post when you get a response from BF. I had been playing Cake Mania 3 from Shockwave and tried to purchase bonus level from over there. When that didn't work, I used a credit at BF and purchased the game, only to find out afterwards that I was still unable to purchase add-ons even after downloading the Sandlot connect. I am so bummed out....lol.

I emailed BF a couple of days ago about this and have still not received an answer. LOL! Great minds think alike, I guess. If they ever reply, I'll post here as well. It's very very unusual for them not to reply ASAP, so I figure we'll not be getting the updated version. Maybe since there are people emailing them about this, they'll do whatever to get us the updated version.

I received an answer from BFG; they are absolutely the best when it comes to making the customer happy. With this reply, maybe we should be emailing Sandlot to find out IF BF got the update and if not, why they didn't..hmmm....

You are absolutely right that Sandlot Games has a newly updated version of Cake Mania 3. However, we have not been provided with the updated version of that game.

As far as we know, the new features on the updated version are exclusive to Sandlot Games only at the moment.

I apologize for your frustration. The latest build of Cake Mania 3 was sent to Big Fish Games on 10/13/08. We just heard back from Big Fish this morning saying that they will push the latest version (1.004) live on their site ASAP. It has never been our intent to force players to purchase the game through us, and we want all our Cake Mania fans to have access to the bonus levels regardless of where they purchased the game. Therefore, please be a little more patient and hopefully version 1.004 will be available on the Big Fish site very soon.

i too had the irritation of not being able to access the bonus levels due to not having the latest version, but it looks like someday soon it may actually be available

note tho that sandlot says they supplied newest version to roughly 2 months ago ... but told sandlot TODAY they'd have it up on site ASAP ...

i have had the same problem, however, did any of you succeed in getting at least the free bonus level? because, i had no problem getting and downloading the free bonus level..it went right through and i was able to play it just fine..however, when i tried to buy the 1.99 and the 4.99 bonus levels, i could not get those, it said i had to go get the latest version like you guys said. so if i could get at least the free one, how come i couldn't get the rest? if you look on the bigfish front page before you play the game down at the bottom it says version, and says you can check on the latest version available, i did so and downloaded a higher version from big fish, but when you open up the game, it'l say a different version, so somethings not adding up..big fish is great, they tried for days to help me, and also issued me a free coupon, so how do we get sandlot to give up the newest version? if we're willing to pay for the bonus levels what gives?

Assuming BF DOES put the most recent version on their site ASAP, can someone tell me how (procedurally, mechanically) we would go about downloading that updated version? Do I re-download the game from the BF site?

I appreciate the forum so much! - I've been wanting the bonus levels forever and now know what the 'status' is of that actually happening. Makes me want to just pay full price for some games....to avoid all this stuff regarding latest version, etc.

Hey everyone per a Big Fish Game Representative today it doesn't look like they will be putting the updated version of Cake Mania 3 on their website. This was what I was told today:

Emily J, Seattle: I am so sorry for any confusion about that. We are unable to offer that update since it is not compatible with our site due to the fact that it depends on sandlot's servers. I am so sorry about that inconvenience.

So I guess if we want to purchase the add ons that go with the game we will have to purchase the game from another site....Doesn't that stink?

Per a representative at Sandlot Big Fish already has received the updated version, but per Big Fish its not compatible with their site...GRRR

Wow...talk about confusing stories! Seems to me, Sandlot would be doing quite a bit of business by offering us BFishies a discount on their version. Talk about good PR for Sandlot.

Seems like Sandlot and Big Fish would be resolving this problem between the two servers, and SOON. There is a lot of money to be made yet on Cake Mania for both involved. Let's hope the new year brings a new spirit of cooperation. LOL

I have this problem as well with the version 1.0001a that I purchased on this web site beginning of december. I hope that a new release with version 1.0002 will soon be avalable ( I don't want to purchase this game twice)!

I am also STUCK n Egypt. I have all the gadgets except the freezer, phone, and I need the gold ovens. I was making a good deal of progress and then it is like the brakes are on! And when do you get to the Future level. Does anyone know how many times you have to go to each "world" before the future thing or when you win? I can't seem to get any information on this game level.

i have the latest version,1.004, however the re-froster button doesnt work in france? i believe it is.. and i dont know how to resolve this... i redownloaded my game because i missed playing it.. im waiting for cakemania4! anyway, does anyone know the fix for this?
