Puzzle solution ?

I hate those slider puzzles and there is no Skip button! So now I am stumped. No walkthrough either. I'm in the safe that I opened with the Greek letters.

So now what?

Help! Please?

the clue to the combination is in the drawer of the credenza in the hall... if you open the drawer you'll see a letter from the sorority - the letters will be the code... and make sure you make a note of them, because you will want to avoid using this combination later in the game!

I hated that slider puzzle. I found a link that gave some sage advice for the sliders. Solve the top row first instead of trying to solve all of the lines at once. I hope that helps.

P.S. I finally solved it, but it took almost 15 minutes.

went through and played it again... yes, there is a slider puzzle - doh!

i have a link for the exact movements needed for both junior and senior detectives if you are still not having luck - sorry, it had been a while since i played this one; got it as a gift some time ago from another source!

There was a page where I read about solving slider puzzles easily:

Solve rows one by one, until there are only two rows left.
Then slide the column pieces into place (it depends really where the missing bit will be, so start from the opposite side), first pieces of the last two rows, then second pieces etc.
In the end you should be left with three pieces and one combination of them is definitely right.

If you don't know how to put the last two pieces of a row or column into place, then (it depends which way you are going), here's a visual aid:

Let's assume there's a puzzle with 16 tiles, 4x4 rows, and you are moving up next to the tile no. 2. Then you have to get the two tiles in the order 4 3, to move no. 4 into the corner and then slide 3 into the empty space.

1 2.........1 2 4.......1 2...4.........1 2 3 4
.....4.... ........3............3
.....3

The other way is to move up next to the edge, then you need the tiles in the order 3, 4.

1 2...........1 2...3........1 2 3.............1 2 3 4
.........3 ............4................4
.........4

Same thing works when you do columns:

(moving down next to no. 2)

2............2..........2...........2
...4.3......4.3..........3........3

(moving up next to the edge)
