Android update for Copenhagen is available. That update also gets the game prepped for Santa Workshop.

I also got a notice of an upgrade on my iphone with an ad for a coming winter event. So I down loaded it. 5 minutes later I put my phone down in the middle of a puzzle for a few minutes. When I cam back there was a notice that said "Stuck? use shuffle to get a new board" I ignored to resume my game and as soon as I touched the board, it shuffled!!! My last one. I have never seen that before. The hint had automatically selected the boost. Not fair!
Is that new with the latest upgrade?

4pm Wednesday here and no update for iOS yet - why do we always have to wait? I would have expected that an update for a format should be worldwide - maybe we have to wait for the rest of the world to catch up with us?

I know that there is a separate App Store for several regions, because sometimes a game will soft launch just in Australia or just in Canada, etc. Perhaps it just takes time? A few updates ago I saw posts about an iOS update two days before it hit my iPad.

Haven't seen the update notification for Copenhagen yet, did the Santa's Workshop one earlier this evening, maybe tomorrow! Hey Trav3lbird you want to run with Copenhagen this time for the monuments thread?

OK Grampa, I will open Copenhagen, give you a rest! No Santa workshop or update here yet so I am off to bed and will check in the morning before I have to be away all day.

The Copenhagen update = Santas workshop update. Santas workshop will likely start up next week.

Copenhagen 9 shows what I love about this game. I could not win last night...went thru about 8 lives. This morning, I played it to mainly get a treasure chest. But, I won in 5 moves, with 31 left on the Board. It is crazy how the gummies just sometimes line up.

Copenhagen appears a bit more challenging than Abu Dhabi or Boston. I find myself getting an ear worm from playing it : Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen. That's a song from an old Danny Kaye movie about the life of Hans Christian Anderson, and I haven't heard it in decades. I don't recall more than snatches of scenes of the movie. Was it in black and white or is my memory from watching it on a TV that didn't have color? Amazing the trivia my mental ocean throws up onto the beach sometimes.....

lordkalvan, funny, but that song was going through my head too, right from when it said Copenhagen was the next city on the list. I had no idea where it was originally from, but I somehow knew that song. The other thing I remembered from Copenhagen that I saw was the little mermaid, but of course, she is famous and there are copies of her in various places in the world. Haven't actually opened Copenahgen yet, am in no hurry. Betting the picture is of the mermaid though? Or something to do with Hans Christian Andersen? Or maybe they have used an image that is more modern?

Yes, the picture shown while a Copenhagen level loads is of the statue of the Little Mermaid. I'm not very far into the city yet but there have already been two references to Hans Christian Andersen.

ETA: search on YouTube for "Danny Kaye Wonderful Copenhagen" and you will find the scene from the movie where they sing it. Movie is in color and apparently from 1952.

I have just spotted that Melbourne is the next city coming. HOORAY, a home town city for me. About time the game came back to Australia. Bet the picture on that will be a tram, but there are lots of things as well beside that here. There are a few cities that have their trams on the pics though. Will be interesting to see what icons of Melbourne and monuments are chosen as the 12 for the city.

FYI Jules. They appear to have fixed the fly-out menus on this update. You no longer have to scroll around looking for all of the resource ports. I couldn’t find the exact “problem” on your suggested improvements list, my glasses must be fogged up, lol...

Thanks for that info Gummynut, I was actually wondering if that issue would be fixed up. It didn't quite make the list on the suggestions as I hadn't updated it, seeing as there seemed both no urgency and I have been away quite a bit and simply not had time. But I will get stuck into that asap and update it adding in the few suggestions that have been posted since the last big update. I was waiting on a mod sorting the order of it for me, but think I will have to get onto customer support as they haven't done it. I haven't done the update on my ipad as yet, still madly trying to ship massive amounts of resources to Abu Dhabi so I can close it off, will do so tonight as will have plenty by then.

Maybe something about the Melbourne cup?
I went to Melbourne in November 2008 and if I remember it was just during the Melbourne cup. Just stayed two days but it was enough to see all the poeple enjoying this event. Met 3 " Marilyn Monroe" in the street. Very nice disguises.

Yes, Marie, I would be surprised if the cup isn't on it somewhere, and its always on the first tuesday of Nov. The Marilyn Monroe people you saw, am not sure about that long ago, but a few years ago, there was a big exhibition in a big regional city of Marilyn, I went to that, it was fascinating. What a star she was, also went to the same place before that to a Grace Kelly one too, but of course, they won't feature in the city of Melbourne thats for sure. Maybe the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) might be there? Or some regional features like Hanging Rock maybe? Or the Twelve Apostles down on the coast, a world heritage national park along the coastline, or the Great Ocean Road, another famous part, but none of them in the city of course. Possibly the penguins at Phillip Island, although well known overseas, us 'locals' just don't get what all the hype is about that, and its so costly and commercialised its not that great. there are so many things that could be included, quite probably a few I won't even think of. I can only speculate I guess till its available to visit.

I realy enjoyed the 12 Apostles when we were on the Great Ocean Road. At this time just 7 remained and unfortunately, I guess they will all disappear one day because of erosion.
Don't know what is Hanging Rock.

HI Marie. Hanging Rock is a large rocky outcrop in Central Victoria, it is a really beautiful place but very haunting and eerie. Look it up on the internet, you will find some wonderful pictures. A famous Australian novel was set there, called Picnic at Hanging Rock. Its become almost folklore but the novel is brilliant, the movie was haunting and unforgettable, and its an Australian classic. It was set around the turn of the century, (1900, not 2000) The theme music from the movie is a wonderful instrumental piece of pan pipes, it’s very beautiful and haunting, as was the story. Its all on the internet, have a look, its fascinating.

The movie is wonderful. Very evocative of the times. I don't think Melbourne is the right geographical location, but would love to see a koala bear or kangaroo. ( stuck in Australian stereotypes.....how about a large can of Foster's? G'day mates.)
