Has anyone had a problem with "blue screen of death" after leaving "Jewel Match - Winter Wonderland" running? I have a password-protected screensaver that kicks in after 5-10 minutes with no activity and have had 2 "blue screens" with reboots... once when leaving in the program and once when leaving on the main menu. Doesn't happen with any other games so far. Was going to ask tech support but I've pestered them so much lately, I didn't want to unless I was pretty sure it wasn't my computer... again.
Update: Just as an FYI... It seems that if this game is the only thing running (other than standard stuff), I don't have the problem. At least so far. When I got the BSOD , I was also in timed mode. Now I'm in relaxed so if anyone else has this problem, might want to try those two things. If you have the same results, I sure would like to know.

I've tried bombs, snowballs, the big green hammer...everything, and nothing clears this block.
I can only believe it's a glitch. I'm going to contact the developer.
I contacted Suricate also. The instructions he gave me were kinda confusing until I replayed several times. This is what he said:
"On both sites left and right there is one column that does not fill up with new jewels. On the right side it is quite easy to solve: match the three blue jewels first and the square will be cleaned. On the left side it is a little more tricky: try to not make matches in the third column (from left) so the jewels in that column do not fall. Make matches in column 1 and 2 from the left and try to make a match over the square before the jewels from the top have all fallen down. I admit that this level is a little harder than the rest, however with a little practise it is solveable. Please let me know if you could finally solve it."
What I didn't realize until replaying several times is that there is a jewel in the box until matches are made under it and then it clears and is blocked. I think I understand what is supposed to happen with the blocked tile. It needs to be matched BEFORE it is emptied. Only problem was there were no matches in the left 2 columns but I found a way around that problem. Maybe not the way it was intended to work but it was much easier than trying to match jewels as they fell. I built up the hammer using the right side of the board to the first level and broke the troublesome tile while it still had a jewel on it. WORKED GREAT!

 LOL!
That was exactly what I did! (Hammer and all!)
Have moved on and am now on the lookout for tricky things like this on future levels.
It is a great game, though, isn't it? My kitties are especially fond of the music...

Yep, I'm addicted! I got thru level 90 and stopped because I need to catch some .
This is what I've found so far
Levels 71, 73, 85, and possibly others that I matched before I realized it are like level 42. Snowballs will clear the tile if you can get one on the line.
Level 80 I had to replay because the locked block is in the lower right and hard to get a snowball there. On the replay, I was able to make matches on the tile before it totally cleared.
WHEW!
Good luck and have fun!

Obviously you have to keep an eye on the square and press the snowball as soon as it appears (if you are lucky enough to get a snowball on the line.
Hope that helps.

Actually you can move a snowball around if it is the second one of a swaped pair. Then it won't explode.
This game is has relaxed mode which is nice and easy. No extraneous gibberish, just clear the board for the fun of it.
