As with several games I have downloaded trials for lately, I just get a flashing monitor after I click Play. Game does not load, and I have to use my Task Manager to shut down BFG

I have gotten really far in the game and I am in the Art Shop, or whatever it is called , and the screen has locked up my progress. I am facing the corner where the flowers are. It will not let me exit from the screen. I have shut the game down and restarted. The help pages had nothing on this scenario, so what do I do????
