Help! Stuck in easy level

I played this game to the end, and momentarily got a screen that said I had unlocked the photo album and the hard level. I did get the photo album, but when I try to play the hard level, the game just keeps re-running the little scene after level 33, with the castle and fireworks at the end. That screen never leaves. If I click on it, I get back to the main menu, and when I ask to play as the person who finished the easy game, it gets me back to the end of level 33. Does anyone have any help for this? Has anyone actually gotten into the hard level? I can find nothing on this anywhere, and the help chat queue is very loong today.
