I have downloaded law & order the venegul heart but when i go to play it comes up error

When I download Law and Order , The Vengeful Heart on my new Dell Studio Laptop Computer. This computer is equipped with Windows Vista. I keep getting an error message and it will not let me play. I works fine on my desktop with Windows XP. How caqn I fix this error.

I have vengeful heart and criminal intent also. I also have vista and neither one will work. I have justice is served and it worked just fine. The requirments for the game shouldn,t say it works on vista when it dosen't.
