Looking for Similar

I'm just glad I haven't finished the game - I tried Expedition to the Amazon, and liked it, but it's over in a flash. Love Women's Murder Club, and Madame Fate (but the other MCF games). Anyway I'm trying, now that I have a great club deal, to find what I like, but the demos can be misleading (who knew Expedition was shrimpy, won't be getting any more of those. I also wish so many games didn't focus on the traditional "wizards and fairies" stuff, hell, I'm Wiccan and can't stand that stuff. Anyway these are the games I love, so I don't want to make any more disappointing buys, and will take any good advice from people who like similar things (or not, advice is cool).

Since I'm usually way more tied up for time, I've liked Plant and Fish tycoon a lot too - never would have believed, since Half Life 2 was my first fav, but when you're tired and busy. The only others like those I can find is the villagers ones - they stink in demo, but then I had to wonder, would they be better used like they seem to be meant, in small occasional bites - the difference is, their graphics don't have as much appeal, which is key for games.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help - if anyone's stuck on any of these, I might be able to help too (+ I gladly cheat, when I don't have time to spend or whatever). Kind of trying to game a lot while I've got a vacation. Also on my first Mac (having tried Vista @_@ I telecommute some too, aauuuggh) and no problems so far, admit I suspect it's the more reliable OS, even though XP Pro always was great.
