I cannot find the pistol in the floor....

This stinks, Where is this stupid pistol...... I have clicked on that book and around that book, forever. I even started the game over twice. Can someone help me please. And is anyone else having the same problem? Thanks so much, Paula

Well, there is no pistol there. I've tried clicking everywhere on the floor and nothing happens. Furthermore, the "AAD" says there's nothing more to do in this room: "I'm no longer detecting anomalous activity. I'd better search elsewhere."

Really irritating actually...

I cannot find it either. The floor boards do NOT move. I have that screenshot. Is it possible I have forgotten to do something? There is so much left undone until later. Still haven't gotten the key out of the muck bath and haven't found something to scoop out the flour. fun fun fun..
