I have owned this game since it was first released. It's pretty similar to the first two. However, this one in the later levels becomes extremely challenging...if you can even figure out at all how to make the goals. Let alone do it within the time alloted for a trophy. I will not give up though. Even though it's taking me forever to finish it. I get frustrated and leave it alone for a few days. I never had any problems with the first two. Getting trophies, figuring out the goals, tricks that work. I have with this one on several levels.

For those who don't care about getting a trophy, or hate having to click like a maniac. It does allow you to finish the level whether you make the trophy time or not. The only bad thing is earning enough to get the upgrades, but you can just replay easier levels to earn more.

Hi fishies....

I liked the previous games in this Mogul series, and i also liked the first Hotel Mogul too. However, i'm a bit disappointing about this one. The graphics are great and the buildings are beautiful but the gameplay is strategy based more then building unlike the previous one which i don't like. I will passed this one and wait for tomorrow HOG CE, hope you will enjoy!

This game is definitely more strategy based than "clicky". In order to medal you have to figure out the best upgrades & plan your strategy. If you don't care about medals you can take as long as you want to play through. Being the competitive person that I am though, I want my medal & was already having trouble at level 5

In general, I'm not a big fan of sequel games. It never seems like they're that different from the original. If you don't have any of the mogul games & like strategy, I think this is a good game. For me since I bough the original on a DD & it has good replay to go back & try for gold--I will stick with that one & pass on this. As far as sequels, I preferred Ski Mogul to this one.

I haven't played the earlier version of this game, and I was just confused: the tutorial isn't that good (at least if you haven't played the earlier versions), and I never quite understood how my upgrades and "specials" influenced my rating. I played the demo, but only got to level 4--and only had gold stars on the first two levels.

I have played two of the build-a-lot games and liked them, but with them I understood now property, landmarks, and commercial property intersected. This one just mystified me.

This is my first time playing a Hotel Mogul - I think. The gameplay wasn't familiar but it also wasn't new. I do play a lot of build games, they are my favorites so I am not sure. I got the basic concept, but I would often but a fountain or steak house in the wrong place. I think tutorial needs a smidge of improvement. Gameplay is very much strategy, not drop a building.

This game is an A-.

I definitely prefer the layout in the original Hotel Mogul. This one is really confusing, as it is hard to see your goals and time limits to achieve gold. Also the Shop is poorly organised, and doesn't tell you what is needed for the next level. If you buy the wrong item and run out of money, you can't cancel the purchase to buy something different. The colour scheme is really bright, and bold to the point of being overwhelming. Not an easy game to get through, but exciting if you aren't a wimp like me and can handle the pressure.

Do the developers of this game not realise the amount of people who won't buy this game because it does not have a relaxed mode. I loved the first Hotel Mogul and was really disappointed when I couldn't progress the levels because I wasn't quick enough and I know there are many like me who get home from work in the evening and just like to play a game at their own pace. It's about time developers realised that most of the people who play these games are people who have jobs and just want to relax in the evening and not 16 year old gamers!

Thank you FairyonPegasus. I enjoy time management games. Having said that, I am challenged finishing the higher levels. So glad you mentioned that you can finish the level without winning the trophy. I will certainly try this.

I really like this game, although I usually will replay a level till I get my gold. This game will provide many weeks of enjoyment and playability as I also started having difficulty around level 5 obtaining the trophy. If your looking for a game that makes you think then this definitly fits the bill and it is still fun to play at a relaxed pace if your not worried about your trophy. I know I will be checking the forum regularly to get help. Thanks for a game that won't be over in a day or 2.

Gill you can play this game at a relaxed pace if you are not interested in getting your trophys. You still have the challenge of figuring out how to place your builds and what to build in order to finish but the clock will not end a level you can take as long as you like.

Really enjoyed this game, so much so that I am playing it again to try and get expert and master on some of the levels

If you like any of the build a lot games etc then you wil definitely like this one. You also get a choice regarding which upgrades you can have for some of the buildings which is great.

Definitely a challenge to get the expert and master levels but I love challenge so that makes it all part of the fun

Would give it a 4 out of 5

Use 2 casinos with hotels surrounding them and then I think I put an upgraded wedding chapel in one of the spaces between the casinos. Also you need a museum as one of the service buildings and it should have an upgrade/bonus that gives you 50% more guests when clicked, so once you have all the hotels built click
on that and it should give you enough guests

Hope this helps

This game should have a relaxed mode. Even on the earlier levels trying to get things done in time is difficult if not impossible. Building work takes too long even on the updated game. Not impressed at all.

I have finally finished the game with expert on all levels. I love all the building games, and really enjoyed this. I did not get the new version, yet, as I was afraid I would lose the progress I had made. Some of the levels are very hard, and there is a glitch I posted in the technical problems, but I did get all the way through, and have had an excellent experience on the whole. I just wish there were as many building games as hidden picture. It is one I will replay again. I don't keep notes on how to do the levels, so when I replay them after some time, I have to refigure most of it again.

I hope they can fix the glitch.
