The game is very good, but difficult for me.

Playing it the third time and still amazes me how great this games is. I just wish there are no sparkles at all.

what a great game and being also from Leeds in West Yorkshire and missing and always loved snow as now living in Louisiana USA even more so. I have one thing to say and that is Make another! Like this! Please!......i was so into the game from the very start in the car and hearing the Weather on the Radio..`We`re in for a Bloody Cold One!`....Have Always loved adventure Games since the Monkey Island Days..

This is a Fantastic Game I give this 10/10 a True Classic

I do agree with you. That's a fantastic game . If you like snow in the games and adventure games, you should try Syberia and Syberia 2 (I think there is snow in the second one and maybe in the first one at the end .... Have to play the game again )

Just one thing, there is no Hidden Objects scenes. That's pure adventure games

I've played this game through a dozen times because it's my number one favourite H0-game ever(RTR comes as a good second) I enjoy so much playing it! The morphing objects are one of the things I fell in love with, though some of them were hard to find. But hey, that's part of the game's attraction!
It's of a good length and it keeps you interested the whole time. The puzzles are varying and not too hard.
The one (other) thing that really appealed to me was the snowy landscape and the atmosphere of the game. Truly chilling!
The only thing I disliked was the video tapes and that the live actors didn't always fit to the scenes they were in, but those are such minor things that they don't bother me enough to stop me from playing this game. MCF ftw!

Dire Grove is my all-time favourite, I love the atmosphere, the puzzles, the settings... and, of course, the good old morphing objects.
A lot of games are nicely done and have an interesting story, but you'll get a little bored when you play them for the second, third... time. I don't know how they do it, but this never happens with MCF - they are unique!

The only non-MCF games that came close were Phantasmat and Haunted Halls, I think.
Oh, and I loved Gravely Silent.

Is it worth me getting the collectors edition compared to the normal dire grove? I haven't played any other MCF games so I won't find out anyhting about them I need to know, basically, could somewone tell me what extras you get please? Thanks in advance

it depends on what you expect! Some people claim that there is no real extra chapter but only a few additional HOGs, but our beloved morphing objects and some weird information for MCF insiders are really great, I think. But these may only be of any interest for RTR-Addicts like myself!

Did you find the rope yet? If so, you have to have a look at the ceiling when entering the bridge. Think of Tarzan....

What do I do on head stone puzzle?

With the exception of the video footage with live actors, which kind of got on my nerves a LOT, I really enjoyed my demo hour of this game and would like to play the rest. The animations are good quality, the puzzles are challenging but not too challenging, and I always love the 'find the morphing object to increase your hint button's recharge' feature. Definitely want to play this one all the way to the end.
