screen size fails

[Post New]by MNHawk on Dec 25, 08 6:30 PM
This is not the only newer game from big fish that has done this. Fails to reset screen size so you can play. Only fix I have found so far is to change my sceen res to 800x600 so that it does not have to resize to play the game, and setting it to no full sceen does not help as it falls to the default of full screen everytime.

DirectX full updated
Graphic drivers fully updated
OS fully updated
All drivers and programs are fully updated

No change

This has happened on more then one game from big fish that has gone into resetting screen failure causing the game to be unplayable, and I am tired of removing and reinstalling just so it will work for a few more days before it crashes again.

OS systems this has happened too:
Window XP Pro w/ SP3
Vista Ultima (not updated)
Vista Ultima (fully updated)
Vista Ultima (w/out SP2)
Windows Home Server

So does not make a difference what OS from Microsoft, it still does the same after about 5 to 7 days, then if you reinstall game within 2 to 3 days it will happen again.

Well that bites, I sent in for a customer service for it and I got some crap about how to log into my account. Which had NOTHING to do with this issue at all. I replied to it saying it didn't address my issue and I am still waiting for a responce (few days now). What the heck is this, time to wait we got paid anyway :?????????????????????????????????????

Update:

Man BigFish is just messed up, still trying to give me some crap about how to log into my account and resetting password. WTH is this crap?

From all the money they get from me on game club and on games you would think they would get someone who can read their STUPID emails and RESPOND with the correct issues and not some DUMB LAME (EDIT) BS reply.

Well still no resolve for this. I guess Big Fish fails to cross this with the Intel graphic cards used in most HP, Comp, and simular laptops. So if you have an INTEL base video card you more then likely are screwed if you buy a game from Big Fish, I have 5 of them now that are like this on my laptop.

I have the same problems as you are having regarding the screen size.

Customer Service at the end of advising me again and again about directx and graphic updates they cannot fix it or that is what they are saying to me.

They did offer me a credit for the games but I would much rather have the games up and running correctly.

Only way to get it to work is to change your res to 800x600 (600x800) and play the game that way, then change the res back to what you had before playing game. Its the only way to fix the game crash issue due to screen resizing. Its the developer of the game issue and seeing as Big Fish wont release the fix files for you you're screwed unless you change the res. to fit the game.

BIG FISH NEEDS TO SUPPORT GAME DEVEOLPERS FIX ITS FOR GAMES
