dropper problem glitch?

Hi I just installed this game and I'm experiencing something strange (I think). When I move the dropper to the right, it automatically pulls back to the left constantly.

When I watch videos, it seems like the dropper is supposed to stay in place once moved to a location?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
