Problems Playing Master Of Defense

Hi, I apologize if I'm posting this in the wrong place, but I can't really find anyplace else. This has never happened before with any BFG games but I downloaded the trial & as usual I get the little green fish icon that I would normally click on & download then go through all of the install steps but in the case of this game, I just click & nothing happens at all. I deleted the 1st download & redid it (I REALLY like RTS games so I was glad to see there was a new one out, otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered). Nothing at all happens now either, just no response when I try to open.
Can anyone advise? I'm on WIndows XP. (I normally use Mac but....)

This might be a silly question, but in my experience it's often something simple.

You say you usually use a Mac, I don't suppose there's a possibility you've downloaded the Mac version of this game out of habit/by mistake?

MoD isn't for the mac so i don't know the problem
