more bonus play confusion

I seem to be unable to figure out how and where to pour plaster. I've been to the edge of the balcony many times and cannot use the wench or the ladder. I do have a bowl of plaster at the ready.
guide seems to imply I've done things all in the wrong order or something...I've been away from the game for awhile so who knows.
any help would be wonderful

Hi,

I think you have just missed some steps.
1. Open two zoom zones with griffin shields, near the hanging cabin.
2. Click on the skulls on the griffin shields.
3. Now you may go to the right and left from the griffins and throw down the statues of Anubis and troll.
4. Now pull the ropes down from the balconies and tie them to the fallen statues.
5. Pull the ropes up.
6. You'll see the depression in the soil from the fallen statues when you lift them with the ropes.
7. Only now you can place the plaster in the zoom zones of depressions.

I have finished the regular game and loved it, however am having a problem with the bonus game. For some reason I can't knock down the Anubis statue, what am I doing wrong?

I can not get the Anubis statue to fall over either. The troll worked fine. Any tips?
