The walkthrough says go downstairs but everytime I do I get hollered at by the ghost. Could somebody please tell me either what's missing from the walkthrough or what I'm missing?

I ask nicely. Why doesn't anybody ever want to help me?

I don't know what you're doing wrong! Have you completely finished with Yumanco, and have you picked up the basement key he drops in the livingroom after you come back from his 'vision'? Once you have the key, the ghost should go away.

Oh, and give people some time to see your question - it's not as if people are sitting here on the forum waiting...

I am also stuck here. Got the key, opened the door, I can go down the stairs. The ghost comes up from the grate in the floor and tells me to let her cry alone.

I replaced the light bulb (no light happens). I have a pan of water, but that isn't useful here.

Am I missing a light switch or something else which can help?

There is a light switch on the right wall. If you've replaced the bulb, it should work and open up the basement for you.
