This Blackmoor Manor game is one of the best as far as challenging puzzles are concerned.

Hello I think they are all good - average completion time 30 - 40 hours; but two of my favorites Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake and Legend of the Crystal Skull. I don't have the newest one- yet, but it is on my list! Enjoy Watch for HER items hidden along the way and items from one game show up in some of the others too!

This is the hardest Nancy Drew I've played and I didn't really enjoy it. Without a walkthrough I wouldn't have got past the entrance hall and I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a serious player...

I loved the newest release- Haunting of Castle Malloy. Thought it was excellent!

I've tried all the ones available from except the last two and Scarlet Hand, and I'm excited to try all three soon! I've also tried some earlier ones but has the best, I think.
I loved (not necessarily in this order) Old Clock, Crystal Skull, Ghost Dogs, Phantom of Venice, Danger by Design, Last Train, Kapu Cave, Deception Island, Icicle Creek. Actually I've loved all of the traditional style ones except Blackmoor Manor (I found it too dark, tedious and confusing) and Carousel (which I totally expected to like, but somehow I found myself impatient with keeping track of things, or something annoying, maybe someday I'll try again.) If I had to pick a fave I might say Old Clock even if the graphics aren't the most modern.
I enjoyed the two Dossier ones but got a little bored by the time I'd done both. I prefer puzzles to hidden objects, and given your quest I'd count those two out.
I hope it's okay to say without linking to it that HER Interactive's site has a forum in which each game has a review poll and lots of detailed non-spoiler reviews, so you can see more about what kind of difficulty level, atmosphere, etc. to expect.
But of course buy from because their price and support are the best anywhere!
Have fun with the awesome ND games!!!

I wish BF offered the older games beginning with "Secrets Can Kill".
I'd like to start from the beginning of the series.
I promise never to stray from the pond...LOL...but would like to order this first ND game but I just don't see it listed here...on my favorite game site!
Any suggestions?
Thx..............

Thanks Julesy!
After purchasing 'Secret of the Scarlet Hand' from BF, decided I'm not in love with it. LOL
A bit too much note-taking to suit me.
Perhaps I'll play it on a rainy, boring day somewhere down-the-road.
I just purchased and DL'd 'Phantom of Venice' from BF.
Will start that today.
BTW: I'm not a big fan of the ND's in which you have to utilize a clock...very bothersome for me.
Again...thx for the suggestion!
'Blackmoor Manor' is next on my list.
...and am anxiously waiting for 'Warnings at Waverly Academy'
