Beetle Temple: Animal Door/Gear Puzzle

I just want to thank the creator of this game. It was great ! I sailed right through it with no problems. This is the type of game I really enjoy. Thanks again.

I decided to redo the whole puzzle. I got to the animal door/gear puzzle and have all the gears on correctly, turned the lever and..............nothing! I'm beginning to think there is something wrong with my version of the game. Is there some way to contact Big Fish Games to have them help me resolve this?

windidog, if you are a game club member, you can go to the my account tab and go to live support. however, live support is only available mon-fri. The other option is to click on the Need Tech Support box on the bottom right of the screen and send an email. I don't know if they respond during a weekend. good luck.

I can't get past this door. I even bought Strategy Guide, but still can't get thru. All the gears are on in correct order as in picture, but what now? I think it has something to do with beetle & lights but I can't get gears to move. When I click on lever all the gears go back to inventory. Please help.

mattieruth, the lever is for resetting the gears and sends them back to invnetory. When you place the gears in the correct positions, you click and hold on the knob on the handle just below the spider. Continue holding and turn several times. If your gears are correct, they will all turn, the spider with wave it's arms and all the lights below the spider will light up. Good Luck.

I agree with you 100%. I haven't finished it yet because I'm draging it out, I hate to see it end, but it is the best seek and find game I've played yet, Usually the puzzles in between levels are so silly. I've really enjoyed it

I opened the animal door but I do not have any luck making the colored gears to do much of anything I move the jigger under the beetle and 2 lights went on but then nothing is there a special way the gears should be or what is the secret???????????????

grandmameals, check out page 4 of this thread. I think there's an explanation of the color gears. I don't remember the specific sequence but that post may help you As you place each gear, if it connects correctly, it will turn just slightly. Each gear placed should touch two other gears. when you turn the handle, every gear should turn. Hope this helps. Good Luck. .

I have all the colored gears in the right place, but I can't figure out how the lever under the beetle works. Which side should I be pressing, the red or gray?

merediffy, you click and hold on the knob and turn the handle several times. the beetles arms will wave and the lights will flash...

I've done all that but the door still doesn't open. I don't have anything left in inventory or anything else I need to find. Should I replay the level?

Nevermind. I got it.

merediffy...I was having the same problems as you were. Everything lined up, gears moved, beetle lighted up. I turned the lever but nothing. How did you get it to work...Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Sungoer, are you on the map with the brown gear box? If so, you may have to solve that puzzle before you can find the pliers. If not, they may be in a different map.

the plires are on the next level. get them and then go back and open the door to the train. You will find by trial and error that you have to go back to go forward on some of these.

In the gear rooms, find the animal symbols and click on them, the shape above changes. when it stops, you need to change the symbols to the right shape and the door will open. When anyone has worked that out, because I've opened the door and found the puzzle to the next stage but no matter how I set up the gears following the strategy guide, when I pull the lever the gears fall down. Played over again as different player in different strategy and come up with same solution. Tried to work out a sequence, but doesn't work. Help. I still absolutely love this game.

pashdi, the lever releases the gears back to inventory. When you have the gears in place, put your cursor on the knob of the handle under the beetle and click AND hold. Then move your cursor in circles ... which turns the handle. The legs of the beetle will flap and the lights below it will light up. If correct, all gears will turn and the door will open. good luck

rannlen, welcome to the forums. The dragonfly is in the same map as the bird. I'm trying to visualize it; I think it's at the top of the screen.

What do you do with the "pig" and "ducks" in
this game in level SS Karnck in the bar scene?

I'm having a problem in the room with the alter with the large blue beetle behind it. I found all the items except the slingshot. I have the container (the one that's turned on it's side), but it won't set up on the alter. If that's not where it's supposed to be, then where (that's where it was in the picture in the professor's diary)?. I'm also having problems with the heart and the ring on the spider page. I suspect I need the slingshot to scare the spider away? So I've gotten all the way to the crystal page and can't go any further until I find all those items. Help!

BTW, this game is a blast!
