No kidding Jupiter. I've played it in the game community and could walk away easily. Somehow can't do that with the big ol DL version. Actually broke down and bought it too. LOL Guess being a game club member comes in handy (especially when one of the big fish tells us his fav game!)

Bought the game before I read the post. Trying to find games to buy to get the mug and this seemed okay during the 60 so I thought - what the heck! Then, magically something happened and I morphed into this weird kind of Fairway fish.

Maybe it's time I got a Hoyles card game and have a small break from HOGs.

Jupiter, I love Hoyle card games. I have two different versions. One is several years old and one is only a year or so. Basically the same games but characters and vocals are different. I actually play the oldest one the most ... because I like the characters more. And, they have excellent rules so you learn the "right" way to play the game...Hoyle rules LOL.

I've done that as well ... just want to veg and play a few rounds before bed. But sometimes I do turn it on for a short time ... I like Elaine's New York smart alec remarks ... and I do like the Rhett character. Sometimes just play with the guys ... when I want a little "eye candy" !! ....

Oh yes .. he is a cutie. I think he's on the new disc because he doesn't come up on my older one.

I usually buy HO games as soon as they come out so I already have a lot of them too

Most of us are in the same boat. We tend to buy them the second they come out. Addiction! Big Fish has said that they will take this in consideration for another promotion.

Your dilemma with the MAC was one of the main reasons I got rid of mine and went back to a PC. As much as I liked it, the game thing, along with other programs not working, were my primary motivators.

I'm a Mac person and I gave up. I already owned most of the games they offered for the Mac, so there were precious few that I could buy. Still...I wanted the mug, so I bought 2 games with a game credit, then 3 more with coupons I had. Then I got an e-mail telling me that I had purchased 1 qualifying game. Since I figured I only had to get one more, I was waiting to see if any more Mac games would be added before the end of the month. When I saw that only one of the games registered, I was pretty depressed as there were barely 5 more games that I didn't own, and those were the dash kind that I can't play. So......once again, so much for being a Mac user on Big Fish. I am just hoping we at least get the stuffed toy that was promised to everyone. But I am not holding my breath.

The coupons aren't good for the promo, but you can contact BF Customer Support and buy the credits for those 3 games and they'll reissue coupons for you.

Thanks AnnBy - It is a little more complicated than that. The 2nd (which was actually the first) game that I bought that apparently did not count was legitimately bought with a game club credit. However, there was a glitch in the transaction and I accidentally purchased the game twice, once with my one remaining game credit, and second with a coupon after I didn't think the first one went through, but had still used my credit. Confusing already, I know, but I was confused at the time why my game club credit was used, but my account did not show that the game was purchased. Eventually both the game credit purchase and the coupon purchase showed up. I contacted Customer Service about it, and they issued me another coupon, and supposedly removed one of the duplicate purchases. It still shows that I purchased the game twice, but apparently the only record of the purchase of either game now shows that it was purchased using a coupon, because the game didn't register as a qualifying game.

In order to get my mug, I would have to try to explain the above, get it somehow corrected by getting that first game qualified. Then I would have to buy 3 extra game club credits to replace the coupon purchases, have them qualified as legitimate Octoberfest purchases, then receive 3 new coupons to replace the ones I used. After that, I still have one more game that I would need to purchase in order to get the 6 required game purchases. At this moment I would only have 9 hours in which to try to get this accomplished. Even if tech support was super speedy, that's a tall order, so I'll probably just call this one a wash and consider it a lesson learned on what not to do in the future.

So I just checked the latest and greatest list of the Octoberfest games here in the Forums (the website doesn'thave the updated list of games). Unfortunately, all the games I would play, I already own!!!! Really a bummer since I already own 'em, I can't get credit, I really wanted the coffee mug.

One thing I noticed, I wasn't getting an email letting me know my status for Octoberfest each time I bought a game. That would help especially since the only place to find out current game info is in the forums.

Maybe next time BFG does a promotion like this, people who own the games via a Club subscription could get 1/4 or 1/2 credit for ones already owned. It would definitely be more of an incentive for those of us with Club membership to buy games we don't buy due to not liking the type, i.e, Puzzle, word, card, etc.

Oh well, spit happens, right? At least I know I'll get a magnet.

Well, I did write to them after all. Bought 3 extra credits to pay for the coupon ones, then bought the last game, and explained all, including the fact that my first game should have been counted. No reply yet....usually they respond by now, so maybe they are trying to untangle the whole deal. Will update when I hear something.

Heard from the techs - It was too late to fix things - if I had asked earlier it would have been resolved. As it is, I still qualify for a magnet. This is hilarious to me for personal reasons, which I will leave alone, so it turned out fun anyway!!
