How do I get water?

I am stuck in the game. I cant get water for coffee, or for the clay. I cant get the potion to remove rust to get the belt off the table. The game keeps directing me back to the house where the coffee decanter and table is but without water I cant go forward. I dont know how to get the belt for the well so I can get water. HELP!

cut the belt with the shears you got from robot

This game only keeps directing you to one place when everything you need is already there - either in the room or in your inventory. It took me a while, but I finally figured it out.

Put the gnome hat by the water running out of the water chute. It doesn't prompt you to do this. Just click the hat on the running water. Found this out by pure luck....hope this helps

Oh! Thanks for the tip on getting water! I was stuck there too. I kept trying to pick up the various buckets and bottles from inside the rooms - kind of frustrating to see the water well working and not be able to pick up a bucket to carry the water in.
