Hi Fishies!

We’d love to hear what you think of The Tribloos; your reviews are very important to us and to other Fishies. You’re more than welcomed to post your thoughts about this game in here! You can also specify if you played the game from the trial version or the full version and on which level you ended your game play, so that other players can get more out of this discussion!

Keep in mind a lot of people visiting this thread will have never played the game before so if you are posting spoilers please remember to include SPOILER ALERT at the top of your post.

Feel free to go ahead and create a new discussion in the game forum if you’d like to discuss other topics than your general feedback on the game. If you are experiencing technical issues, remember to check out the support thread here.

It is a simple building strategy game, but is quite addictive and fun.

The game is set out platform style and the graphics very simple. The game is probably appealing for children with the cartoon style and simplicity but I really like this game.

You send out the Tribloos to collect wood and build houses and rescue other tribloos to help you.

There are other buildings and tasks as you progress but I am unsure if the game ever gets very difficult or challenging- you do have a timer to judge your progress.

I will probably pick this up as it is a great time waster game... give it a try!

Developer: BumpkinBrothers

Cute, cute, cute! Lovely little TM/Strategy game!

Again, this game should be in Strategy or Puzzle category instead of TM.... You have to build the machine (or buildings?) in time. It's fun and ADDICTIVE! Graphics are not so nice but it's suitable, music are not annoying and the gameplay is so great! Lots of features and objects to place and play with, perfect game to kills the time - will buy it soon!

Grades:

Graphics: C
Story: B
Music: B
Features: B
Fun: A
Gameplay: A
Overall: B

My grades can be as high as A* or as low as F!

Wow, thanks for the great reviews so far everyone!

Just to touch on TeamSDs wonderfully detailed review there, especially on the graphics side of things.

I did all the graphics, music, programming myself - not making any excuses here. But I did want to say that anything I make from this project will be funding the artwork for the next one!

How nice to see something different in the builder genre .

Due to my replaying some levels, and losing 5 mins of demo at start (to a Topside interruption), I reached the bonus level at the end of world 1 but ran out of demo time before I could play it.

It's a definite buy for me . I may come back and add more review detail after I have had time to play further, but that could be a few days away.

For now, I say give it a try yourself, play the full hour and don't be fooled by the simple looking layout. As early as levels 3 and 4, I was replaying with different strategies to get gold but then I got a few first time after that so it's not too hard either.

It's not how fast you can click that counts for this one - it's the order in which you give the Tribloos the tasks and how many you send. Each item to be dealt with has room for a maximum number of workers: 3 for clearing wood, 2 for rescuing a trapped Tribloo (who gets added to your workforce), 10 for building a house, more for a sawmill and so on. If you start with 5 Tribloos, you can have up to 5 tasks being slowly done by one Tribloo each, one task being done more quickly by all 5, or anywhere in between. There are always ways of getting more Tribloos during the level too.

From Bella's comment, this seems likely to offer a well balanced, increasing level of challenge but, even if it doesn't, I won't regret buying it because it's something different and I'm happy to support developers who give us that .

I am fine with the graphics . Some games in this genre are so overflowing with illustrative detail that I have to look really hard to find and identify all the things I should be dealing with.

I am happy that this game doesn't do that.

How adorable is this game! Build a Lot in Fantasy Land.

I think it plays on many levels. I could see my 6 year old grandniece and nephew loving it, because it plays quickly and with a lot of movement and bustle and is straight forward in what needs to be done. However simple it is in the gameplay, however, it is very difficult to consistently get gold and requires quite a bit of forethought and planning to pull it off. (Not that I have yet to do that.)

I definitely NEED this game!

wonderful game. not too easy not too hard. graphics are okay but I am a firm believer that the graphics don't have to be great all the time, They don't all have to be Syberia ,my favorite in the incredibly beautiful category. play is very much like roads of rome but somehow a little different. sounds like it is long enough too.
someone mentioned kids liking it- I think you have to do too much thinking at once for them.

i am so tired of HOG that any diversion is welcome.
hint to developers - make more like this!
well worth buying-which is what i did.

oh , and thanks for making this for Macs too!

A very nice game. As others have said graphics and game play so far are basic (only on level 4 here) but a lot of fun. Strategy is important, you have to decide what to have your workers do in what order to hit the gold level. I recommend this game for something different and enjoyable.

ETA : You do not have to get gold to continue on to the next level nor do you run out of time but in this game it is simple enough and fun to fiddle with different approaches to try for gold if you want to.

What a great little game , I would have completely missed this if it hadn't been for Bella's thread in CCC about the soft release being a building type game. Thanks Bella .

IMHO this game should have been the TGT and the other one the soft release .

Thank you devs for letting us advance to the next level when we can't complete it in a gold or silver time . This aspect alone will ensure that you make more sales because there are quite a few people like me who really enjoy these type of games but have trouble sustaining fast mouse movements and so miss out on some good games. With this game the $64,000 question is how many workers do I assign to do what and when and I love that.

I hope you are already working on your second game Bumpkin Bros because this one is a hit .

Cherb

Wow ! What a honey of a game I absolutely love this one it's fun, cute and challenging and I love the little tribloo guys they are just too cute. The game sorta reminds me of a platform game and the first one that came to mind was Donkey Kong where you have to climb the ladders because that is what you have to do in this one climb ladders to get wood or build or grab other materials and save more tribloo's. I was hooked from the get go and purchased it only after a few minutes of play. It's very different from the other building games and so much fun. This one definitely stands on it's own and it's such a great twist on the building genre. I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a great game to play. Way to go Bumpkin Brothers I hope you will be doing a sequel to this one it's just awesome. Thank you Big Fish and Bumpkin Brothers ! Keep them coming.
