HELP.... how do you lasso a group to move them all together???????

I am new to the Westward games and do not know anything... in the tutorial it says to lasso a group of ppls and then just click on one of them and they will all go together ... i cant get the lasso to work on all three of the tutorial peoples? Please explain ... thank you..

I know this was asked a long long time ago....but just in case somebody else needs to know. Click anywhere outside the group. The lasso appears. Move lasso over everybody. Warning: Just because they are all in a group, doesn't mean you won't 'lose' one now and then. They kind of spread out and follow their own path and sometimes one will get lost in the woods or 'stuck'.
