If you are having problems getting the game to work correctly, we highly recommend going to our Help pages. Using our Help pages is always the quickest way to get technical problems resolved. Here are a few suggested articles that have helped many people correct these types of problems in the past:

Game Crashing, Freezing, or Blank Screen
Access Violation
Game Compatibility

While we can offer a known solution for technical issues in the forums, or other tech savvy pond residents can swim by with good tips and suggestions, we cannot provide the same excellent level of support provided by our Customer Support team. The forums are not very well suited for the kinds of information gathering and troubleshooting that get these types of issues corrected quickly. If there is a problem with the game, our Support Team can also gather necessary information on what types of computers are being affected by the problem and deliver this information to the developer for a fix.

If you are not able to get a game working properly using our Help pages, please get in touch with our Customer Support team, you can find a link to contact our Support team on the front page of our Help pages.

*Please reserve this thread for tech issues only. If you are seeking game play assistance (i.e. hints and tips), the best thing to do is to start a new thread in the game's Forum by clicking on 'Create New Discussion.'

I had a few problems with the game running properly.

The worst one was in the Orchard with the stone puzzle. I'd correctly identified the solution to the rotating discs, but the puzzle didn't react to the solution and allow access into the dungeon.

Being new to this type of game (this is only the 4th one I've played) I assumed I'd not done it correctly and had missed something. So I spent considerable time double checking and looking for something else. Eventually I looked on the walk-through, and found I was correct and there was a problem with the puzzle.
So I simply tried skipping the puzzle, but that didn't work either, the dungeon stubbornly refused to open.

I then uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it on my PC. However, this simple took me straight back to where I was, and once again the puzzle failed to work.

I reluctantly deleted my character and replayed the game from the beginning, not knowing if the puzzle would work when I got to it.

Fortunately it worked !!!

The downside was for the rest of the game, if I got stuck, I didn't know if I'd not solved the puzzle correctly or if it was another problem with the game.

I did have a few other minor problems :-
Dark screens where nothing could be seen.
One of the 5 Skull cogs disappeared, so the puzzle couldn't be completed.

But these problems were readily cured by exiting and restarting.

I did get one black screen where my PC completely locked up and had to be rebooted.

I am unable to see a cursor when I start the game. I can move my mouse and get menu items to light up, but am unable to see the cursor. I have the latest java, adobe, and direct x updates. I have deleted the game and reinstalled. Still no cursor. I have downloaded dozens of games from your site and this is the first one I have had issues with. What am I missing?

I just downloaded the game today, and the beginning started just fine. I was able to set the options, picked up the first item, solved the first puzzle (and I was using the tutorial), but then the tutorial said to click the arrow to move through the gates and the game froze. I closed it using task manager 3 times but the same thing happened. I am now going to uninstall it. I have lots of other games to play and don't want to be bothered with one that is so persnickety.

i am well into the game and have no problems untill now. i have an ax but the game wont let me chop the last tree limb. it took quite a bit of repeated clicking to get the first four limbs. i tryed exiting the game then restarting and it still wont cut the last limb.

really dislike this game, freezes, long black screens betweewn scenes, hints useless, jumps all over has the jitters. would be a decent game if it played right. really wasted money on this one

This is the second time I have tried to play this game (I didn't like it the first time but didn't experience any technical problems). I installed the game to my new computer from my account so I know I didn't bring any little viruses from the game on my old computer. Now when I move the cursor I sometimes see lots of letters flashing across the screen, like half a page of letters, always on the diagonal (It's especially bad when I am trying to access my Inventory.

I have no idea what is going on. The game play is clunky but I think that's just the way the game is. This is really weird. I don't want to have to install it again as I have had a lot of difficulty getting even as far as I have managed in the game (it's not a very good game in terms of graphics and ease of play). OTOH it's getting to be an irritation and appears to be getting worse as I progress.

Who wants to see letters flashing across the screen? I can't even read them.

Does someone from BF ever respond to these issues or is it a complete waste of time to even report them?

Hi Jurinne,

Sorry that there hasn't been a response in this thread until now but I am happy to offer some help today!

I would firstly recommend checking to see if you can run any graphical updates, as even a few simple updates can make a vast improvement to how the game runs and displays for you. The help article here will help you to do that.

If you know that your computer is up to date and would like some more specific advice on this, please contact our Tech Support Team, they will be happy to look more closely at what is going on here and will provide advice specific to your machine and at the very least, ensure that you are not left with a game you cannot enjoy.

If you have the time please run and include a Dr. Felix Diagnostic Report in that mail so that we can start helping you right away.

I hope this helps and thanks for working with us.
