Mini-games

I must not understand the goals of the mini-games. When I do what I assume would be correct--drag ingredients to the bowl in the order they move on the assembly line below--I'm consistently told I failed. What's the correct procedure/goal?

OH-kay. Fail often enough--it must have been half a dozen times--and you'll be offered a tutorial! Take it!!

As you'll see, the key for at least the first mini-game is to do things while each strip is pointed at by the arrow toward the left edge, not before, not after.

So first you have to assemble the ingredients at the right times.

Then you have to roll up the, uh, roll a few times, when directed, in the time allotted for each movement. And then you have to use the trowel-like tool on a downstroke a few times to cut the roll into pieces, again in the time allotted.

I'm not usually good at this sort of thing, but after understanding the target I was able to assemble a tray of sushi.

This is like Cooking Academy, but for sushi. Each time you master a lesson, you get a new condiment to add to the meals when prompted.
