wont load

downloaded the game successfully however, when loading to play it will not load. pop up blocker is disable. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still having the same problem

I have the same problem. Tried loading it on 3 laptops. I think it doesn't work with windows vista. Worked fine on xp.

I have the same problem. I've tried on two laptops, both Vista OS, and the program just doesn't work for me. Has anyone come up with an answer yet?

try turning off your windows firewall. it worked for me. i also have mcafee security center with firewall.or try adding bigfish games to exceptions to go through the windows firewall.

I'm having problems. I'm currently running Windows Vista and have allowed access to my firewall. The strange thing is that the free 1 hr demo had no problems loading. Now it starts to load, but then craps out. Any other suggestions out there?

I am running Vista and this program downloads fine and begins to start up.. I get the Play First logo and then it closes out to the do you want to play again screen on the BigFish module.

I notice that most ppl posted to this back in June. Wondering if there are any results or resolutions I can try.

Same symptoms, same problem. It says it's compatible to Vista. Is this not correct. Is there a moderater in here? Or, are we just telling eachother we're having a problem?

OK, I'm back. According to the logs BFG client is trying to stop windows desktop manager and of course windows doesn't like anybody stopping them from doing anything (power issue, probably Ego, Freud would say). I tried some things I won't suggest to others because I don't want them to mess up thier box. Here's what works, un-sanctioned but effective. Go to C:\program files\chessmaster challenge\<find the exe file (it'll be the game icon)>, right click on it and find and hightlight 'run as administrator' on the the pull down menu. You're in, now you can decide if you like it well enough to do that everytime you play or contact CS. I'm going to give it a shot and if I like it I will try further steps to contact CS with my findings. They are really good to work with and do try 'make it right' when they are made aware. I hope this works for anybody that comes back to check the post, happy gaming.....
