Need Help With Rope Bridge At Start....

This sucks, but I just started the game and when i put the winch under the rope bridge to get it to go up it says I need to tighten the rope.....I have clicked on everything in the pop up box and NOTHING has happend...I looked at the strategy guide and it says to click on the winch to tighten it up....I clicked on the winch and nothing happens...is it a glitch or am I missing something????

It doesn't suck, you are just missing something. Have patience and check everywhere.

Are you also carrying a car jack?
If so, you need to use it on the bridge support.
If not, I suggest you go back and look for it. (to the RHS of the broken bridge to the castle)

I put the car jack under the bridge thingie and it says in the strategy guide to wind the crank....and nothing happens when I do so...Thank you though.

OK, have you also placed the crank on the bridge? It needs 2 items, the car jack and the winch (crank) to work.
