disappointed

Seems like they should have a lower price option on some of these shorter games.

I love the atmosphere, and the story line holds together well. However, if it's only a couple hours of gameplay, it doesn't seem like it should be worth as much as other games with many hours of play.

Another way to look at it, a short game is very quick to produce - whereas a longer game takes many more hours of programming. So, shouldn't we be paying more for the longer games, and less for the short ones?

Okay, I'm not asking to pay more! But what about 1/2 price for a game that takes 1/2 the 'normal' time to complete. Seems like BFG would sell more of this type of game this way.

Dont like the free download

This HO game isn't awful, but it isn't good either. Apart from the fact it takes only a little while to finish it, there's just something about the atmosphere of it that totally turns me off. It's dark, miserable and actually quite depressing. I did buy it before trying it (something I hardly ever do) as I went by the warning on the d/l page & thought it must have been great. This is one of those HO games I'll finish, but I doubt I'll ever play again... Just my opinion of course

I was also disappointed in this game. Fortunately, I only used the free hour. The mini games were way to repetitive and the story just went on and on. I'm waiting anxiously for Ravenhearst 2 to come out.

I have to agree with those saying they're disappointed in this one. Unfortunately I bought it without getting the demo first--don't think I'll do that again!

you know how sometimes you'll play the demo and hate it when the hour is over. i played this for 30 min. and couldn't stand it any longer. had to quit, boring. i thought with the warning it would be THE GAME, nope!!!!!!!!!!!!

i liked the game, but played it without the demo, so it lasted a bit longer. maybe big fish should say how many chapters a game has, so when you are in demo mode you know if you are about to finish. mystery island showed that i was still quite a few chapters short when the hour ran out so i bought it too.
i didn't like the graphic in the weeping skeleton, just saw a movie where the guy ripped his face off and the gore reminded me of that. overall a good game, and if i hadn't been so fed up with horror movies, probably would have loved the that scene more. otherwise, nice games, good graphics, loved the ghost ideal, really loved that it wasn't occult like so many other dark games. finding the little sqaures and cells in the large picture was hard.

I was also disappointed in this game. I only played the 60 minute demo. From what I am reading in the other posts, I am glad I did not purchase 'Redrum.' Thanks to all who posted before, you saved me a credit.

Maybe we all should become more familiar with the size the the games that we download. I don't pay attention. Someone smarter than this lobster probably already knows about size of game related to length of game. May you all can remember you experiences...Just an

I never post on these forums but having wasted a credit in this game when I nearly finished it on demo I feel I need to warn people off, you have to have the intelligence of a gnat to find this entertaining, what a disappointment after a stunning intro and storyline, it was pure mindless repetition, just as well so short we may have all ended up in a coma next to the character it was so mindless and total rip off. If we we duped into buying this then we should get next MCF free as compensation!! I have learned a lesson, always check reviews and forums b4 buying- how can BFG sell of MCF Ravenhearst for 99c and sell this junk at full whack??!! DON'T BE DUPED BY THE INTRO, SAVE YOUR CASH FOR THE NEXT MCF OR ADVENTURE GAME!!!

I guess the cost averages out, you know. We get large file adventure games for $6.99, and we get relatively short ones, too. Maybe this one will be on the 99 cent rack at some point, LOL.

I have to agree I payed the free hour and thought this looks good. I purchased it and half an hour later I had finished the game. Very disappointing

Yikes! I was stunned to finish the whole game with one minute left in the demo and it definitely was the shortest game I've ever played in an hour (in this case, 59 minutes). I'm glad I didn't purchase it or I'll be so mad at myself for a month!

If you want a challenging and fun HOG, wait for either Ravenhurst or Hidden Expedition or similar games that has more than 10-15 levels - they're worth a coupon!

I really appreciate everyones comments about this game. I just played the demo and before using game credit decided to come here and find out what everyone thought. I think the graphics are really good...but I don't want to buy it if it's that short. Thanks again all!

Can someone who finished it please tell how many levels, or "investigations" there are to do? I only got halfway through the 3d investigation in my trial hour, since I play slowly. I might still buy this one if there are 6 or more investigations...

I'm sorry you were disappointed with this game. I have been enjoying it. I do play slowly and read every bit of the story. It's a good thing that BFG provides a large variety of games, both long and short, so all the fishies in the Pond can find a few games each month that they do enjoy. Happy Gaming everyone!!

Wish I would have read this before spending a game credit on it. I also basically got through the game before my trial hour expired. I wish there were some sort of game progress meter so I would have known I had ten minutes left to get to the end of the game.

I will check these posts from now on.

Yeah, I am really rather disappointed myself. I did enjoy the story line, it was just as dark as was promised. However, after finishing up the demo, I decide to buy the game.. Big mistake on that one. I finished it within 45 minutes of buying it. The levels really weren't all that hard. I did have a little problem with trying to find just the right spot in the picture levels, but not too much.

I'd save my money on this one if you like long games.
