I've just encountered the identical problem.

When you are in the room you entered with the gold mask, if you exit that room by going to the menu and exiting the game, the game will not progress forward. You cannot get back into that room.

You have to go to the main menu and create a new player. You might as well delete the original player because they will not ever progress. Even if you uninstall and reinstall the game, if you have not deleted the original player who was stuck, the game will remember that player and it will not progress. So just create a new player and start over and don’t exit any room that you have entered with the gold mask until the game takes you out of that room.

As far as I know the game designers have never fixed this problem. It is unfortunate that you just have to stumble across that glitch and learn the next time to avoid it.

I got the same problem, no error like the other person posting had, but I did not exit the game in any manner, normal or abnormal. I just opened the journal to re-read the thing about Isis and when I clicked on the Bazaar again the door was closed and the mask was missing. I think there is a bug in the game. Unless someone comes up with a solution that does not involve restarting the game, I am not buying this one.

I need help in trying to get past Secret Room #2. I have had to replay this games so many times to figure out how to get past secret rooms. Would anyone have an idea to help me? I am really sorry I purchased this game. I get hooked to easy.

I got through to Nefertiti's room with the saws and guards, I found everything, bows and arrows, but didn't use the flashlight. I had to close down the game and when I came back to it, all I had was the closed gate with pharohs face and the only artifact left was the flashlight, I can't get the gate to open to where I was. Am out in the cold forever?

I f you get to the flashing lights - you have to repeat the pattern. This takes about 3 or 4 times and then you really finish. I finally got through this game -- but it took way to many starts. Anything at all happens after you put the mask in place and you are locked and have to start completely over at the very beginning. I thought Big Fish had better quality contol than this. IIf I was the only one I would think there was something wrong with my machin... but it seems a lot of people have the same problem -- and they ignore the issue. I am so disappointed.
